Anyone going to the Chicago Z event today?

osbornsm 07-01-2014 08:11 AM

Holy sh*tballs...

I just retired my Bridgestone S-04 in 285's.
- And replaced them with...
Michelin Super Sports in 305's/

I don't even have to turn on traction control anymore. Its amazing for a 300 treadwear tire.

I've heard great things about PSS. This will be my next tire as well

Lol @osbornsm

Since I posted this on the facebook page:

Their are two potential cruises we can do.
This Saturday, July 12.
Next Sunday, July 20.

The July 20th one looks like a for sure, while this Saturday will be based on demand.

osbornsm 07-09-2014 10:57 AM

Out for this weekend, will be camping.

NEXT weekend however... :happydance:

Ni55anPat 07-09-2014 11:29 PM

haven't seen you guys once this year…….wteeef

elixxur 07-09-2014 11:29 PM

Yo whatever you guys do let's do it! I'll join in if it's in the city or nearby the city. We could also do a barbecue meet or something since it's summer and all. I used to do that with the Maxima folks when I had my Maxima. We used to meet up at Busse woods and just hang and grill all day.

Most of our cruises start in Schaumburg and we go either south or west. Very little do we do things in the city. However, we have had annual bbq in the past.

This may be a dumb question but is there any place I can get the touring seats?? These base seats suck!!

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

osbornsm 07-10-2014 03:32 PM

Was just looking at seats the other day. I want something adjustable and quality.

I narrowed down to 2 brands:
- Bride <-- made for littler bodies
- Status

wettone10 07-10-2014 03:37 PM

Can't just find the touring ones anywhere??

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ZMan8 07-10-2014 04:16 PM

I wouldnt really recommend the touring seats. Their good seats but imo you can get better aftermarket ones for similar prices as new touring seats.

I haven't driven my car in 3 weeks! Although, my basement project is almost done now. My part of the work is pretty much done. Have someone coming in this week to custom build the bar and put down flooring.

Weekends are tough for me still too. I'm always training for some kind of race, and if I'm not training myself I'm training someone else. Just about all of the athlete's I'm coaching are doing the Naperville Sprint tri coming up next month so that will be busy!

I need to do another marathon now that I'm able to run again! Hopefully, next year I can pull that off. Haven't done a full or half in over a year! Good luck Zman! LMK if you need any help with the training.

Hey Pat! I MUST see these seats. I'm thinking of purchasing the same ones. Let me know when you install them in the Z. I'll even help if you need a hand?

osbornsm 07-14-2014 08:44 AM

P.S. What are all you people running from/for? :happydance:

My running shoes are in a close race with the z on mileage as well. I think the z has small advantage after starved rock and multiple trips downtown.

Got them installed - They are the GT RING (really made for 33" or smaller waist) - Suede with Kevlar back.

I love them, but only thing that bothers me is me sitting little higher then i like. (i'll have to see how i can fix that).

Waiting for my resistors to come in so i can start taking care of that air bag light & need to take apart the passenger seat for the weight sensor.

:ugh2:
