Hey nothing wrong with MAFs and spacers they are the essentials. Were they also running specials on the drop in filters?

Plus you likely got the swanky Z1 sticker. Good for 5 bonus HP. ha ha.

It was killing me to hold off pulling the trigger on the BF deals but I am saving for tires, exhaust, and coilovers.

Hey jlo you might find another shop on thechicagogarage.com/forum/

The vast majority focus on domestics but seem happy to work on imports.

I think outside of PX you would be hard pressed to find another one the specializes in Zs to that extent.

I think they did have the K&N drop ins on sale, I'm just not a fan of them. I would've liked to have bought swift springs, evo r front lip and side blades, and the shine auto rear lip but I had to resist.....for now.

What exhaust and coilovers are you looking to get?

I was going nuts over all the stuff I ordered. I hate to complain, but now I'm a little overwhelmed with how much work there is to do! LOL

Plus, I'm thinking about adding a couple more things to the list. I may jump on a short throw kit I've had my eye on, and trying to decide on whether or not to just go all out and do the coilovers.

Anybody willing to help out on a coilover choice?
I'm not sure which ones to get. I'm sure I could get my desired effect by doing springs, but I don't want to go down that route. Even if I don't track the car I don't want to go that way just because it cost less. A lot of guys are having problems later wearing out oem shocks with springs as well. What I do want is ability to lower the car, and the best compromise between a good ride on the street yet very trackable set of coilovers. I'll be honest I'm 'leaning toward the KW v3's or M7's.

I had KW V1 on my VW R32.
There's no reason to have V3. Any adjustments you make will only mess up what KW has done from the factory anyway.

I'd say at most V2, for rebound adjustability.

thanks...but don't you also give up the external resevoir on the V2's? Wouldn't it be better to run KW recommended adjustments on the V3's so you don't give that up?

V3 seem to be the coilover of choice on this forum. Very little reviews of the m7's so I'm not sure how great they are.

V1 = Street = height adjustable only.
V2 = Street = height rebound adjustment
V3 = Street = height rebound and low speed compression (not fully adjustable like some vendors will make it seem)

I don't know about you... but i don't know crap about compression dampening settings.
