I'm in Crossroads, downtown, but when I am home I work all over town. I was at Oak Park a few weekends ago and saw two Zs out there, I'm guessing owners are members here.

Are there any Z events coming up in KC? I don't typically venture out South much, but would be happy to make the trek if there is a cruise night or something.. Let me know!

Also, Tower74, I'm pretty sure I've seen you're Z headed North on my way out of town headed South - pretty tough to miss!

I'm looking at moving to the Stillen exhaust for my Z - anyone have this on their Z? Recommendations or experiences with the Stillen would be much appreciated!

the stillen system sounds to close to stock, you'd be better off buying my s-tune exhaust!

Yeah if you come south you'll see a bunch. I think there's 3 of us who live within a mile from each other assuming Kraken and Edub are still in the same places. Welcome.
I took mine out for probably the first time in 10 days bc of all this damn rain and potential for hail. Luckily, I dodged the travel assignment my work is having in a month and I will stay here rather than be going to India for a month :)
guess I really need to get that oil cooler on now before it gets hot

Welcome! The first of Jackson's BBQ tour events is coming up next week.

I hear ya, mine has been parked for the past few days. I drive mine quite a bit, but we just picked up a Juke for the wife in GM as well, so now I have something else to drive in the rain. The Z is stayin' parked a bit more on inclement weather days.

Maybe - I test drove one with the Nismo Exchaust and I didn't mind it - I do drive mine to/from work a bit, so not looking for anything to extreme. If you're looking to sell your S-Tune, PM me a price - I'm not deadest on any particular exhaust yet, so open to other options.

Indeed! KC Proper even! I was picking up my sister at MCI (where my avatar came from, actually) and saw another Gun Metallic this weekend in the employee parking area, wasn't you was it?

Nope that was not me. I do live in the Northland but wasn't at the airport with the Z. I have seen a Gun Metallic every now and then around North Kansas City area Armour 210 a few times now. Not sure if That was you?

Very well could be, I spend a good bit of time with a customer up in those parts.

I have a license relo-kit now, so that might be able to distinguish my GM 2012 from others out there.

Also swapped out for the GTR Start button this weekend. :happydance:

Nice, I hope you saw the updated thread on swapping out to the GTR button in less than 5 mins without tearing up the dash.

tower74 06-05-2013 12:25 PM

I will not be able to make the BBQ. I'll be in Iowa or Nebraska. This should be my last road trip for awhile since the local work is coming back. Plus the money I make on the road is SOOO much better. I will be back in 2 weeks or so I hope.

aCoul82 06-05-2013 04:33 PM

Alright so my usual guy who does my maintenance and mods is swamped with body work (his actual job)... any garage or person you guys would personally recommend? Just trying to get the oil cooler & cats on and swap out brake pads... for now

As long as the demon bolt isnt seized up on the cat then those shouldn't be too bad. me and a buddy did my oil cooler in about 2 hours a few weekends ago. don't be afraid to hop in there and take her all apart

theres a good diy on the front end removal on here that digitonium did a while back. takes about 15 min to get it off. nothing too crazy involved

JacksonZ33 06-06-2013 02:17 PM

^ Thanks for that, wasn't sure if was the same procedure as 350. I think ima help him this weekend, starting with intakes....

edub370 06-06-2013 05:14 PM

why don't we all get together and do a little DIY day on Sunday or Saturday Or Something

If that happened on a Sat I would totally be down. Problem for me is I have no garage or tools to do stuff. Back when I lived with my parents I had access to all the good stuff and did everything myself on my Acura except the ECU tune

JacksonZ33 06-06-2013 06:32 PM

I have a collection of all tools needed for anything we're trying. Tho only have single driveway. Making it tough to work on more than two at a time. ( tho my street is very safe as far as parking, might even be able to convince neighbor to let us borrow her driveway.

He was thinking bout coming to my house Saturday @noon.

I'm open, but if someone has better set up let me know....

Yea if sat is a good day for you. we are going at it at noon at jacksons. you and ethan can join. ill bring beer lol

pbhakta 06-07-2013 07:36 AM

I'm open at my house as well got a 3 car wide driveway plus a garage, but probably only have half the amount of tools that jackson does as my Z is the first car ive started to work on. On the downside i live all the way up north KC which i know might be far for you guys. But id def be down to join up on a DIY day anywhere, throwing on my intakes was fun and would love to help out others.

I need to still throw on my swifts this weekend as well.

sboden 06-07-2013 12:35 PM

Sounds like it might be a good time. Nothing better than shooting the sh!t while working on a car. I watched the bumper process and it is pretty easy. You just have a lot of screws and pins to pop out. Worse car for replacing headlights I've owned. The Volvo C30 was extremely easy on the other end of the spectrum.

edub370 06-07-2013 02:23 PM

if it goes down saturday then i may be out... turns out "I" had plans and forgot about them... lol

That sounds good. you could install your springs. my intakes seems to have the same install as the SG 3 intakes. Looks like 3 cars are in the mix. So lets come up with a final time and place for who is down? I'm open and down for whatever. right now me and Jackson are aiming for 12:30ish at his place tomorrow. don't wanna leave anyone out that wants to join so lets us know what works for you guys. its gonna rain sat night and sunday fyi

pbhakta 06-08-2013 02:01 AM

So what is the final plan. We all meeting up at Jacksons place? If so, Can someone PM me the address to his place? Otherwise if you guys were wanting to meet at my place ill send out my address. Just let me know the final plan.

JacksonZ33 06-08-2013 10:18 AM

Ya come over... Nothing fancy going on really. But stop by if you want.

Text me for address... 913-593-6352.

pbhakta 06-08-2013 11:43 AM

Good deal, see you guys around 12:30, finally get my springs on too!

JacksonZ33 06-09-2013 05:05 PM

Had fun yesterday ... Tho it did take 3 guys 3 hours to put on an air intake

aCoul82 06-09-2013 06:05 PM

Sorry that I went m.i.a. and couldn't join u guys but my gf did some damage in a construction zone and I had to go rescue her. Ended up looking at new cars and driving a couple to kill the afternoon while we waited for the dealer to work us in on her car. I'm probably just going to take my Z to my parents next weekend to try and pop on this stuff. That way if I dont finish at least its in pieces in a locked garage rather than a carport
