i don't believe this body kit actually exists any more

:roflpuke2:

tower74 12-05-2012 11:45 AM

Oh trust me it exists....the $2400 I paid for it is not forgotten. Just was going to be hard to come up with 5k at my last job. Now it shouldn't be an issue. Anybody know of a good body shop that could install it.

Last time I had one put on, I drove my Z from Iowa to Chicago. No clue around here.

Looking forward to seeing that kit though.

If your going to get body work done (paint, install, etc.) I highly recommend Eveland Brothers. They repaired my car earlier this year after I hit a deer and it looks like brand new. Very happy with them.

Also looking to see if anyone is interested in playing poker? I am hosting a game tonight and could use a few extra people to fill some seats for people out of town. Happy Friday!!

edub370 12-09-2012 08:49 AM

I lover poker! Unfortunately i got some family stuff keeping me away from the forums/car thing much lately

So an S&R Performance single turbo kit can be had for less than $6K (tuner kit). That being said, would anyone trust Modified by KC to tune an UpRev? If not, how far would I have to take the car?

Well I haven't talked with them for about a month and still have yet to hear if they ever got the Uprev tuner. That being said the only place to get an Uprev tune is outside of STL...about 3 1/2hrs away.

Chad does do good work. I had him fix my exhaust leaks and he did it cheap. Plus if you take this to him I'm sure he will work on it for you.

tower74 12-11-2012 04:13 PM

Also seen a Blue 370z over off of Plumff(sp) today and seen a black 370 running down I635 on the Kansas side.

The Blue Z was parked back by the office building off plumff(sp)....that's the most I've seen in one day except when we meet up.

modified is now a licensed uprev tuner. So they have access to all maps and tech support. Chad did the dyno tune on my 370 and i ended up with more hp and muuuuch better throttle response. I wouldn't even hesitate to have him do my tuning when i go fi. He's done a couple tt 350z's.

VERY good to hear. Thanks!

tower74 12-12-2012 03:24 PM

Ethan have you talked to chad lately? Last time I did they were still waiting on the software and license from UpRev

edub370 12-12-2012 05:28 PM

Checked on uprev's site, they have mkc listed we a licensed tuner. Didn't u tell me the dude at uprev got fired that wasn't forwarding Chads info to the proper people?

erkthejerk73 12-12-2012 06:59 PM

you guys could do the uprev tune via the interweb while driving your car with Hal from dynosty! just need a 4g hotspot and the uprev cable... im just saying!

Yes I did....I haven't talked to them for a minute. I need to since it is saying they are on the list. Now to get him to fix my tune....mainly so it'll stop with the mini-explosion inside the pipes due to the fact it's running to fat.

edub370 12-13-2012 09:26 AM

Sweet, do u shoot flames now??

That I don't know but when that excess fuel pops inside the pipes it can get a little nerve racking.

tower74 12-13-2012 11:37 AM

I still try to take her out on the weekends. Unless it's sh*tty outside.

tower74 12-13-2012 11:43 AM

Oh and I'm leaning toward trading in the car and getting a manual Z. I may just trade it in as is. Of course removing the test pipes because they are illegal as f*ck. Still up in the air on it.....maybe then go with a proven turbo system like GTM's.

edub370 12-13-2012 12:00 PM

U could go balls to the wall with a 6mt. U just tired of the auto?

You can't control the HP on SC like you can on a turbo. The power is always there....unlike a turbo where you can get a boost controller and with a turn of the knob or flip of a switch go from high boost to low boost. Just saying....

Sometimes it is nice to have to option

Well with the Raptor you've got power and the ability to tow/haul stuff.
