Tests aren’t really worth getting until 14 days after potential exposure. You can get be negative and still get it. Our doc said don’t trust any negative result before 14 days. |

That makes absolutely no sense. The virus can run its course in that amount of time, rendering the test completely pointless. If you have to quarantine for 14 days regardless, then there's no reason to test unless symptoms appear. Here are the things the doc told me: Wait at least 24 hours after potential exposure to test. Wait at least 24 hours between testing. Rapid tests appear to be less sensitive than the regular test, meaning more false negatives. |

You shouldn’t be testing anyway unless you have symptoms. I’m just telling you what our pediatrician told us. Don’t trust any negative test until you are 14 days past your possible exposure. If you test 3-4 days after exposure and it is negative, that does not mean you won’t end having symptoms and test positive later. Also never use an Abbott test. They produce drastically more false results. |
I think we should go to the Winchester, have a pint, and wait for this all to blow over

Susana and I came back negative.

Found out I can't get tested unless I have symptoms. So that's kind of dumb. But on the plus side, I don't have symptoms. I also have to go through daily screening at work, including temperature.
At the end of the day, you can't get anything if nobody has anything to give. |
