my story (the short version), after getting lost in the mountains at around 3 - 4 AM (thanks to my gps), i kept driving around in the worst road conditions, and worst routs...anyways after a super long drive, with no one on the road, no reception, and may i add no gas...i found route 28, and my car stopped (out of gas)...so i had to make the choice of either sitting in my car, or hike my way to fontana...i ended up hiking, on the way hoping i could reach 911 for help, i managed to make 54 phone calls to 911 (all failed!)...so yea, this sums it up.

gladly i wasn't attacked by any gay black bears! :P

damn that sucks! the roads are kinda confusing up there if you don't know them. they have added some signs pointed what direction things are but still, it's a whole lot of nothing so it's hard to know if you are going in the right direction:driving:

trust me i didn't see any signs...untill the very end.

BTW... I m not sure if any of you are aware. But you can actually go ahead and reserve your cabin/room for the 2011 ZDayz event NOW. I went ahead and got the same cabin and reserved it. As this event grows in both popularity and size, it will be increasingly harder to secure a cabin as time approaches the actual event.

You have to pay 1 nights stay up front which was $119 for my cabin. I will throw some money at the reservation every now and then over the course of the coming year. I had my cabin paid off about a month before this past weekend, so I was not concerned about paying m bill.

You can always sell the spot to someone on one of the Z Forums later if you cannot make it for some reason.

They charged me 168 deposit, for a two bedroom which I though was correct and one day's rent, but my confirmation email I got today says the cabin is 84/night. Guess I better print and keep a copy for next year to have on hand.

dont count on it. They finally have wifi in the centers, but other than that, nothing has changed, unless you have verizon. they have a little better service and a hot spot at the lodge.

I think they undercharge it. We paid 279 a night for the 3 bedroom and the years before that when were were in a single it was at a minimum 119, but I cant remember exactly. 168 sounds right, but who knows.

Our 3 bedroom was 280, sounds right mike

Just paid my ticket...thats $145 dollars I'll never see again...
