Fair enough.

italy3541 04-24-2013 05:42 PM

performance and style right? on the 12th

MyKindaGuise 04-24-2013 05:51 PM

Is anyone doing non judged? Idk if I'm even entering right now.

aniceh 04-24-2013 05:54 PM

I did judged just to park with the group. My Z's too vanilla to win anything.

italy3541 04-24-2013 05:56 PM

it looks like everyone is doing judged, so in order to not park alone i think we have to do judged..

There is a "Nissan" showfield, and a "General" Showfield. Parking doesn't look to have anything to do with judging since it's the drive through nonsense...

But we will all need to roll in together if we're going to park together I assume.

italy3541 04-24-2013 06:19 PM

i just registered . i dont think it makes a difference being that its a drive threw judging.

MyKindaGuise 04-24-2013 07:11 PM

Last year we all met and had breakfast at the diner right down from the motel you guys are staying at. Ill be doing judged hopefully...if this kid buys my headers next week I should have the car done. Just got my quote for all of my hardware.

dmhenderson 04-25-2013 10:28 AM

I just got my Nismo RC ducts. Shipping today but I'm not allowed to say where or how I got them :3

Edit: Ok well the "how" part was mostly a lot of begging and pleading.

better find some time to do a install lol

dmhenderson 04-25-2013 04:39 PM

Way ahead of you. Involves modifying the bumper so I'll leave it to D&V.

i may have to pull my bumper off this weekend too. one of those side flat pieces off to the sides with the fuzz around it moved over out of place. not a problem just annoys me lol

dmhenderson 04-25-2013 04:46 PM

My install will involve cutting holes in the bumper sooooo yeah that's not something I want to mess with.

RC duct install, respray (*sigh*) scheduled. Brake and clutch lines along with the tank dipping will be done the Friday before the show.

Gentlemen (and lady), I think I'm actually going to get it all done.

very nice.

i'm wondering on what to do about washing my car after the 3 hour drive out there since i am in the show field even tho i am in no way going to win lol

dmhenderson 04-26-2013 11:52 AM

I'm bringing up waterless wash and detail spray. That should do for touch ups. You can just use mine.

Did you plan on waxing it just before you make the trip? That should help the bugs come off more easily, and I believe you want a coat of wax on there if you're going to use the waterless wash.

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck that. did that for my trip to MD for my tune and it's a pain in the ass, takes forever, i did some parts wrong lol, takes time to get off, and doesnt seem worth it lol

ZCarMan 04-26-2013 03:39 PM

Good coat of wax and some detailing spray and microfiber cloths should make it easier to remove the bugs. Just let the spray soak in to their little bodies for a few and they should wipe right off. Hit it again with the detailing spray and again with dry cloth and should be good as new.

i'll probably end up waxing it this weekend or next weekend so that will help.

So uh, Check this sh*t out. If this stuff works...

3M Paint Defender Spray Film with synthetic wax - Sprayable Paint Protection Film, 90000 - 3M Auto

It's basically spray-on clearbra o_O

ZCarMan 04-26-2013 05:01 PM

Interesting, how much?

dmhenderson 04-26-2013 05:03 PM

Looks like about $25 per can

I figured it wouldn't be inexpensive but I'm interested in if it really works or not. Since I already have a clear bra installed I wouldn't need it but for someone who doesn't want to spend a lot of money, this could be useful if it truly works.

dmhenderson 04-26-2013 05:22 PM

Yeah I don't want to be the guinea pig but I would use the hell out of this if it works
