Dyno Tune: Moore Auto Trip report

370z dyno run 12/4/12 - YouTube

Great bunch of guys. Their tuner (Chris) doesn't like flashing someone else's pre-programmed tune. End result was 9-10 ear-piercing pulls and a bunch of adjustments.

Let me tell you, this thing is freaking LOUD. I'm gonna go ahead and install that dynamat this weekend. I thought it'd be funny to hear it without for a week or so and now I'm wishing I had done it last weekend.

Very nice numbers! I had them dyno my car a few months ago. Billy and Chris know their stuff. I plan to have them tune my car for E85 here in the near future.

dmhenderson 12-05-2012 12:59 PM

Yeah they were super nice. They even dropped me off at Fair Oaks mall while they did their thing then came and got me when it was time for the tune because I wanted to watch.

They are very nice people! Billy puts up with my multiple questions all the time!

Good stuff here.

dmhenderson 12-05-2012 02:06 PM

Even better, if you go through Yelp and check in at Moore Auto you get 10% off your bill (!!!) and the option to buy a $125 gift certificate for $90 so basically you get an additional $35 off.

Their prices are EXTREMELY reasonable.

Agreed. I received a quote for my Uprev tuning for 93 octane and E85 tunes and am impressed. Can't get in there soon enough.

ZCarMan 12-05-2012 03:12 PM

Nice results, congrats!

Sales@AAMComp 12-05-2012 03:21 PM

solid gains with the tune there dm, a lot of people trip out over peak power but they don't realize the biggest difference is usable power aka power under the curve gets bumped up nicely!

well done

are you running resonators on your set-up? i got full non-res and i dont think mine is loud enough lol maybe thats just me? :ugh2:

4r3s 12-05-2012 03:35 PM

what mods do you have? I don't know why I expected to see higher numbers from a nismo. I'll have to look at my chart again (I have an AT so supposedly the numbers come out lower) but they look very comparable.

Sales@AAMComp 12-05-2012 03:42 PM

I think he has stillen gen3's, FI HFC/CBE and tune

dmhenderson 12-05-2012 03:44 PM

The nismo car is the same as the touring model but with sways, an exhaust, a body kit and a different tune.

The only performance mods I have are:
18" resonated FI CBE + non-resonated HFCs
Stillen G3 long-tube CAI
Uprev Tune

The rest is all for looks. It definitely feels quicker than it did and holy christ is it loud. I can't imagine what it'd sound like without the resonators.

next time i'm down that way come take a ride in mine with non-res cbe + carbon fiber cans and non-res test pipes :driving:

dmhenderson 12-05-2012 04:14 PM

I have a bigass roll of dynamat I'm going to install this saturday.

Jordo! 12-05-2012 04:24 PM

What were the numbers SAE corrected?

The cooler ambient temps definitely helped.

dmhenderson 12-05-2012 04:28 PM

Actually, it was 70 degrees here yesterday for some reason.

Khoi!!! Im really getting tired of looking at that beautiful sig. I need a quote buddy. What is the premium member price for those EFR's best I got was $2950 from fullrace? Also does the kit use 6258's or 6758's? Or do you carry both? Regardless send me a quote if possible for just the turbo's. Thanks!

dmhenderson 12-05-2012 05:49 PM

I ...have to leave it NA. I just can't go the TT route. I can't.

I can give you 5 reasons why you should! Give me 5 why you cant :roflpuke2:

dmhenderson 12-05-2012 05:52 PM

#1 I'd have to rip out my intake and basically just throw that money away.
#2-5 My girlfriend made me promise no more ridiculously expensive mods any time soon.

dmhenderson 12-05-2012 07:36 PM

Woot I'm famous. Well ok I'm not but my car is. Ok well maybe not famous but my car was used in a commercial that I didn't know existed:

What are you using the dynamat for? Didnt I throw out the idea of doing a group mod party doing a dynamat install a while back?

Elliott Thank you for the kind words!

Sales@AAMComp 12-06-2012 09:22 AM

dm I give you a few weeks before you want your car louder haha there is 2 reasons why you will always want your car louder 1) you get used to it and it's no longer loud to you 2) you hear a louder 370z and realize how quiet yours is

:) hahah!

LOL what pm are you talking about?

I know that feeling when I drive next to a louder subie and mine just gets drowned out :(

b1adesofcha0s 12-06-2012 09:35 AM

I want mine louder too, but I'd probably have to do custom axle back to replace my mufflers with straight pipes.
