with the ballast ATTACHED haha

You do need to open up the housing in order to swap that part because it's part of the projector.

hmmmm, Im not sure about that, looking at the picture, it doesnt look like that.

Wouldnt the passenger and the drivers side be the same, I would think so.

Negative, the studs holding onto the projector bracket has L and R orientation.

Ahhhhh... so do you think its gonna be a pain in the azz to do?

Look at this pic, you notice where the "U" hook is snapped under the metal housing, it holds the light in place, that little tab (theres 2, one for each side of the "U" hook.) That tab snapped off, thats what Im trying to replace.

Yeah, that is part of the projector. You will need to replace the whole thing. Confirm which side for sure, I have no use for it and I can give it to your for free.
