I believe its the drivers side.

Awww, sucks cuz I have the passenger side.

You do need to open up the housing in order to swap that part because it's part of the projector.

Wouldnt the passenger and the drivers side be the same, I would think so.

Negative, the studs holding onto the projector bracket has L and R orientation.

Yeah, that is part of the projector. You will need to replace the whole thing. Confirm which side for sure, I have no use for it and I can give it to your for free.
