Its unfortunate though, because everything else besides the burn blemish, looks fantastic on your lights. That goes for DM's lights too.

Man, Im sooo glad I talked you out of that first color of paint you chose, what'd you do with that can of paint anyways? I hope you threw it away...it was hideous.
|
Washed the car today. Washed under the hood and all around the lights. Wanted to get a coat of wax on the spots that got sealant/goo gone on them.
No condensation or leakage. |
Thats what Im talking about... good stuff!

FML. Got condensation in one of my headlights and of course it's the one that isn't messed up. Probably because I was either rushing through it or pulled it out early.

Sorry about condensation issue bro. |
I think I might be able to get it fixed without taking the whole light apart. Should just be able to heat up the sealant that's on there now, then press the lights together some more and just add more sealant. This makes sense right?
Dee or Mark, do you have any of that rubber butyl sealant left or should I order more? Shouldn't need much, provably just have to add more in certain spots. |
That one went right over your head didn't it !! Lol

Yeah I have an untouched tube. You're welcome to it.
Edit: but you're going to have to come get it. |

I saw a car more ridiculous than that mustang today. It was a grey honda civic (or maybe an accord) covered in a decal kit and printed on the side of the car in huge script lettering it said, "FAST AND FURIOUS". I tried to snap a picture but he was crossing the intersection in front of me and I wasn't fast enough.
He was...too fast (and too furious) |
wow......major

Also saw a Ferrari 599 Fiorano on the road yesterday in Germantown and holy crap is that thing fast. Just goofing around chasing him and he was basically running circles around me just barely goosing the throttle.

Didn't recognize the car but I saw him turning so I chased him just to check it out. The thing looked surprisingly tame for a ferrari but the noise it makes when the guy stepped on the gas is unmistakable

That V12 sound is just :yum:

You can just image search a Fiorano. I'm scouring the internet for pictures of the FAST AND FURIOUS car because I'm positive someone has to have taken a picture of it at some point.

Appointment to get the lights sanded and buffed on Saturday at 10. Also, no condensation after driving through the damn monsoon today so I'm pretty sure I'm good at this point.
|
I haven't gotten any more either after that one night. *knock on wood*

So I think I've pinpointed my electrical problem and it has to do with the cutoff for my LED running lights. The lights cut off when the headlights are turned on OR when the parking brake is pulled. I'm pretty sure the parking brake is/was what's causing the interference with my key fob system.
Why? The DLRs shorted out 2 days ago and now the key fob system works 100% of the time. As the dealership installed the DLRs, they're on the hook for the repair to the lights since they warranted them with the rest of the car (along with my intake). So my question is, can I just run around without the override? Just have the LEDs on all the time and not worry about a cutoff? I don't think it's a problem in Maryland but I'm not certain how to be sure. |
