This is what the R-35 looks with a solid body kit. Tell me that isn't pure sex.

That isn't pure sex, sure Megatron won't pop out of the car :icon17: It does look amazing with that kit.

Sales@AAMComp 09-25-2012 08:10 AM

there are plenty of lip kits and accent pieces to make the GT-R look better. I would never change out the actual bumpers

:iagree: Also need to change the exhaust to give it more of an exotic sound.

I agree, those body kits are way to "busy" looking.

Supercars are supposed to be "busy looking" imo.
If I wanted a high-end sedan, I'd buy a BMW.

They don't have to be busy looking, just need to have the performance and look good (or at least decent in the GT-R's case). Though looks are subjective and the busy look isn't for everyone.

Cristobal09 09-25-2012 09:57 AM

^^

I agree.

I like clean looking, so I am going to be biased against pretty much ANY sort of body kit.

The Viper, excellent example of a car that you have to do nothing to... its just uber badass.

Yes, yes it is.

The NEW one I assume is what youre talking about.

Sales@AAMComp 09-25-2012 10:07 AM

GT-R's can sound pretty darn exotic being a 6 cylinder "exotic" car haha don't forget it's still a v6 :p

from factory it's very restrictive, everyone's first mod is the midpipe which Nissan put 2 cats and a FAT muffler in, aftermarket midpipes takes about 30 minutes to install and free's up a lot of exhaust flow and makes the car sound completely different!

GT-R rear section is just 1 big pipe, splits into 2 resonators and then 4 tips. no restriction haha most guys keep the stock rear section unless they want the added bling

Yeah I saw a GT-R get a midpipe install and damn the difference in sound was crazy. Sounds a lot more exotic with the midpipe.

Im a fan of all of them, its literally thee only American car I'd buy. I like it that much, and to be honest with you, I will own one eventually. Thats the plan.

If you sell the Z and the s2k, you can probably get one :stirthepot:

I like the look of the old Viper better than the new one, especially the ACR :yum:

I would love them more if I could fit in them. Too tall for them

Hopefully Kevin will reply today. I'm expecting $100-200

Cristobal09 09-25-2012 11:05 AM

Good job Shahid. It looks great.

You were able to fix your headlight??

Thanks! No the melted spot is still there on the passenger side headlight (you can see it if you look closely at the second to last pic). I just mostly took photos of the good side :icon17:

With the headlights reflecting light like that though, the spot becomes less obvious.

Cristobal09 09-25-2012 11:27 AM

hell you can barely see it (at least from that pic). Just as long as you dont have any condensation building up in it, id forget about it.

Is it worth blowing 600 bucks on a new headlight? no way, at least imo.

b1adesofcha0s 09-25-2012 11:34 AM

Yeah I'm not really even worried about it. I've seen used headlights on eBay for like $350 so not as bad as I previously though.

dmhenderson 09-25-2012 01:09 PM

D&V just offered to buff out the blemish on mine "while I wait" for free (I think). Sent Kevin a follow-up email to make sure I understood him correctly.

he said it might be slightly deformed but will be completely transparent again (not crinkled).

I think "free" is a good number.

Seriously that shop just rocks. Worth the mileage/gas 100x over.

eastwest2300 09-25-2012 01:09 PM

Blades, I gotta say that paint looks good. Hell if anything, you could just buy a headlight if the opportunity presented itself, and just use the shell, swap everything else out.

Trying to figure out when I can get there while they're open. If they're not open weekends, I'll take a half-day next week to go up. Want to shake the guy's hand anyway.

dmhenderson 09-25-2012 01:12 PM

Will take before/after pics as well.

Sounds good, let me know how it goes. I'll try to take better pics of my damage once I leave work today.

Actually all I'd have to do is swap the lenses.

Thats what Im saying.. and dude and in all honesty, I'd be interested in parting out some parts with that headlight, we could go half on a headlight. In essence.

dmhenderson 09-25-2012 01:21 PM

Except you can't just buy a headlight lense. I looked all over creation and the best your going to do is a used complete assembly.

Used or new, it wouldnt matter, Blades said he could find a used one for $350. He needs a new lense, and I could use a couple interior pieces.. i.e. the interior piece that holds the HID bulb into place. Mine broke.
