No need for the lenses to go outside anyway tbh

I didnt notice any dust when I shot them with paint, I think the rubbing alcohol worked perfectly prior to them being sprayed.

So that's what you did. Cool

50% chance of thunderstorms late in the day tomorrow. Won't affect the painting since that will be in the AM but we need to be done by 5 for sure.

I'm not crazy about the idea of exposing my intake directly to a thunderstorm but I do have a car cover.

Oh that reminds me. Everyone bring your own phillips screwdriver. That was the #1 limiter last week.

Yup, and before I shoot the pieces with paint, i'll give them a good look over, looking for dust, dirt, smudges, or fingerprints.

I think we should be done by 5. We've got the process figured out now and should go a lot quicker. My cousin's headlights are already out so we can start cracking them open immediately.

eastwest2300 09-21-2012 01:05 PM

That would be excellent if we could be done by 5..

b1adesofcha0s 09-21-2012 01:06 PM

Mark's lights shouldn't take as long either since they only need to be touched up.

dmhenderson 09-21-2012 01:41 PM

I picked up a large bottle of rubbing alcohol and 2 more packages of 30 gloves (assuming that's 30 pairs total) along with some electrical tape so we're good there. Just need a dropcloth.

I'm gonna pick up the drop cloth later today.

We're good to go in that case. I will be there at 10 or slightly earlier to get started.
Will need help getting my bumper off and removing the headlight assemblies but should be able to get started immediately after that.
