Washing the car today and now found paint flake on the front left fender joint. I could just f'ing cry. The dealership has had the car more than I have at this point.

Any chance I can make them repaint the entire thing at this point?

Like I literally just got it back from having the rear bumper painted due to paint flake yesterday.-

Damn that sucks man :shakes head:

It sucks, but unfortunately around here, its gonna happen. Crappy roads, road debris, and way too many cars on the highway. Thats kinda one reason, I like to keep a very safe distance.

This isn't atmospheric damage. This is paint flake. This is a defect and it looks just like the issue they fixed on my rear bumper for free but I'm getting annoyed with the car being in the shop constantly.

Flaking >< chip

Maybe we need to do a clear bra mod party...

dmhenderson 09-21-2012 06:14 PM

*sigh* no this isn't due to road debris. This is the paint just wearing off of the car. See the nismo forum thread on the subject.

Clearbra is freaking expensive anyway.

eastwest2300 09-21-2012 06:19 PM

You can get the 3M clear bra material for around $200.. then you'd do the install yourself.

Can we at least confirm that all of the bumper bolts for my car went back on last week because if not, I will take it to Nissan and they'll laugh at me.

b1adesofcha0s 09-21-2012 09:17 PM

I don't think clear bra will help the issue Mark is having. We'll find it tomorrow if all the bolts are in.

b1adesofcha0s 09-21-2012 09:21 PM

Just picked up the drop cloth and paint so we're good to go for tomorrow.

dmhenderson 09-21-2012 09:36 PM

Yeah the paint issue I'm having is a legitimate Nissan fuckup (see nismo forum). I just want to make sure all of the bolts/rivets are in before I take it back and start yelling and look dumb.

Sorry I've been MIA lately but the pics from the first go-around look pimp  Wish I oculd get some time off but at least I found some FO time at work today to catch up one here.
