BTW the place I'm talking about is called Krazy Kebob. It's off Rt 1 literally right next to campus.

Subs would be easy. There's one near me if you guys want to tell me what you want, I can grab food on the way out of town.

b1adesofcha0s 09-20-2012 08:40 PM

I think we can do Subway whenever we decide to take a lunch break. Would probably be easier that way and everything would still be fresh. I'm fine either way though.

dmhenderson 09-20-2012 08:53 PM

Yeah that works. There has to be a subway around there.

tonybui 09-20-2012 08:54 PM

U guys wanna do this again in the spring when it's warm? lol
My schedule sucks ...

Try contacting MightyBobo. I know he's told me he was interested in doing this too if the first day went well.

dmhenderson 09-20-2012 09:05 PM

BTW it's gonna be 80 on saturday when we're doing this...

b1adesofcha0s 09-20-2012 09:11 PM

Dee, did you keep that plastic drop cloth from the first day? If not I'll pick up another one.

Sales@AAMComp 09-21-2012 08:22 AM

Picked up another can of black satin just in case we get another bad can like before. Going to grab more gloves today just to make sure we have a ton of them.

please pick up more gloves, 40 may sound like its enough, just pick up more.. please.

b1adesofcha0s 09-21-2012 09:29 AM

I really don't get how you guys go through so many gloves :icon17:

I would think 5 pairs for each of us is enough....

Nope! Its not..

eastwest2300 09-21-2012 09:42 AM

Its because you're dealing with paint, thats the main reason why you run through a lot of gloves. Look at the outcome of what we did, the paint was spot on. No runs, no orange peel, no fish eye, no fingerprints, nothing.

You spend a few extra dollars, to make it look good. I know with me painting as much as I was, I ran out of gloves, and I NEED gloves to get the job done right.. just saying.

eastwest2300 09-21-2012 09:43 AM

Hey fellas, we're gonna need a bottle of Rubbing Alcohol, yall used up all my sh1t.

So are you like throwing away a pair of gloves after each coat of paint? That's the only way I can make sense of using that many. I mean I wasn't there for most of the headlight work (ffffuuuuuuu wetsanding) so I don't really know.

dmhenderson 09-21-2012 10:14 AM

I'll grab a few more bags of gloves and rubbing alcohol if someone else can cover the dropcloth.

I can get the drop cloth when I go back to Wal-Mart to grab the gun metal paint. Should I get the same size or one slightly smaller (9 x 12 ft instead of 10 x 20)?

Should be easier this time with only 2 colors.

eastwest2300 09-21-2012 11:02 AM

Hell, I dont even know what we're doing, its been changing..someone update me, i know one thing, Im not messing with my lights, they're good to go.

Redoing Mark's lights and doing mine and my cousin's lights.

eastwest2300 09-21-2012 11:16 AM

Ok, cool... just an FYI, I wont be helping with prying the headlights apart, I didnt see how yall did it initially, so I dont wanna mess with it. I'll be helping remove the bumpers, and shooting paint.

Who's gonna take the lead on disassembly of the headlights?

b1adesofcha0s 09-21-2012 11:27 AM

I guess it will have to be Mark since I wasn't there for anything headlight related except painting.

eastwest2300 09-21-2012 11:42 AM

I dont know man, Im not sure if Mark knows how to do it, we might be stuck.

b1adesofcha0s 09-21-2012 11:53 AM

So I guess we'll have to learn. I thought you said you guys had this down to a science? Should have paid more attention :shakes head:

Maybe we should get tips from the guys who actually did it.

eastwest2300 09-21-2012 11:55 AM

I was painting, as they were breaking them down, im not sure how they did it. MyKindaGuise and his friend, they were the ones breaking them apart.

b1adesofcha0s 09-21-2012 12:17 PM

Mark says he knows how to do it, so we should be good

dmhenderson 09-21-2012 12:19 PM

Yes I know how to do it and it's a 2 man job.

dmhenderson 09-21-2012 12:19 PM

Need electrical tape and that flathead screwdriver I left up there last week.

eastwest2300 09-21-2012 12:19 PM

good, I was worried for a sec.

eastwest2300 09-21-2012 12:20 PM

I got the flathead.

b1adesofcha0s 09-21-2012 12:23 PM

For the little bit that I was watching, it seemed like getting the lights apart was pretty quick/easy once the sealant was heated up.

Also, what did you guys do to keep dust out of the lenses? My cousin mentioned covering them in seran wrap as a possibility.

dmhenderson 09-21-2012 12:23 PM

Oh then we'll need electrical tape too
