FEELER: Cruise on August 11th or 12th - route inside

I'm not organizing this, but I'd be the liason with the Z guys. A group of my friends want to go for a fun cruise on the 11th or 12th - specific date unknown. Post up if you're interested here, room for as many as we'd like.

I looked at the map, and there arent many great meet-up locations near here. I feel our best bet is to just meet up at the normal FFX Z's and Coffee location at 10AM (https://maps.google.com/maps?q=12599...22033&t=m&z=17), and we will drive the ~10 miles or so to get to the start of the cruise. This will give us time to group up and get a feel for each others driving before going straight to reckless.

On a side note, bobo, I notice in your sig you are from Ft Meade. I was born there, and lived there for almost 12 years!! (army brat). I actually visited last year to see the old homestead.

I would have made Rob but I got a DR exercise on the 11th & out to NJ on the 12th for some mods. Have a blast man and make sure Shahid's cousin and Dee are way out of your way :icon17:

This is quickly shaping up to be on Saturday the 11th, starting at 10AM. We'll start and stop around noon for lunch, and then continue the cruise.

Randy: any recommendations for locations to stop for lunch?

Hey all, The event in question was devised by a friend of mine. I can help answer some questions. I think I met some of you at the UFC fight a few weeks back.

Anyway, if anyone knows a good place to eat/meet at out in that area we are game. I have about 6 (including me) that are not on this forum that should be going. Various cars.

Yeah I'll try if I don't have anything else planned, which I shouldn't. Some weird company that I've never heard of. I think they were called Nexen or something? They're summer tires and they seem to be ok from when I drove them. Didn't push it that hard, but he says he hasn't had any issues. Much better than his previous set up.

I'll take 4 matching shitty tires over 4 mismatching good tires anyway, likely...lol

My rears are gonna be done after my hyperdrive on the 18th. I'll probably have to order another set of rears afterwards to get myself through late summer/early fall.

there is a pretty good sandwich/pizza shop named Joes in Marshall. right after you finish the State Road segment - go in to Marshall and a couple blocks in to the right is the shop... usually plenty of parking and the food is pretty good.

Also, I'll be fasting so I might skip lunch.

there is a pull off area there but not at all a parking area...

As posted above, there are few optimal locations to meet up near the cruise starting point, and this looks to be the best bet.

Still in the air on this... Dunno if I should with the shitty V12's. Yes, I know someone did it with 4 mismatched, but I want to push and the V12's won't follow. I'm tired of having to hold back.

You'll still be pushing. You'll be pushing the limits of the V12's is all. Traction control on, suckah.

Dude I've done all the cruises with all season tires with no issues that one time doesn't count. You'll be fine with the V12's. We don't actually push our cars hard enough to reach anywhere near the limits of the tires.
