Then what's the point if you're not pushing limits? :p

I dunno, prolly due to the time and distance, I'm gonna have to pass. I'd have to get up at 6 which is usually when I'm going to bed. Not to mention living on a budget. It sucks... :shakes head:

I learned very quickly in my track session that what we do when we cruise is no where near any limits. I'm not saying that they're not fun, but you really can't push these cars to the limit unless you're on a track.

If you'd like to push the limits on public roads, there's another ditch that'd be happy to swallow your car for you, somewhere, no doubt...

Except for posted speed limits (ba-dump-tshh)

Weather says rain tomorrow morning. I guess I'll go back to sleep if I see rain in the morning.

I should have the Wing in Nov, tires sometime thereafter, and the HPDE sometime in late winter, say March/April, whenever the season starts again.

I know, it's not a need, it's a want. It will finish off the lines in the rear of the car like I want. The stock lip just doesn't suffice.

You mean, early spring? Trackdaze starts as early as March, in VIR.

LoL I know. I just REALLY wanna get it mounted already, I know it's gonna look awesome, whether bobo thinks its functional or not. :p

Sure, let's do that then. Are you gonna go? If so I'll set that as my goal.

Get whatever you want lol, I don't care. If you think it looks good, have at it. That's opinion. It's when people say that it's going to give them mega-sic down force that's TOTALLY useful at 30MPH while getting groceries that bothers me. Looks are personal opinion.

As far the HPDE, I doubt I'll do a March HPDE. I'd like to do NJ Motorsports Park next year, which is later. May or something. But don't wait for me, I wont be instructing you... lol

I agree completely, which is why I fully admit, I know below track speeds its useless, and even still prolly then since it's not a full wing, but it will fit the look I'm going for.

Well then what the hell good are you?! :bowrofl: :roflpuke2:

As much as you critique me, you damn well better back it up Mr Instructor! :inoutroflpuke:

I'm planning on starting track season next year around the same time Chris, you can go with me. How many and which ones I go to depend on my job status at the time. If I can't do full HPDE's then I will do hyperdrives for sure. They're like $50 and just one 25 min session of the 4 that would make up a full HPDE day. That's what I did last time and what I'll be doing next week. A lot easier on the wallet and you still get a chance to get out there on the track.

It may not seem like much, but you can learn a whole lot in that 25 min session. In my first one, I improved my lap times from beginning to end by 20 seconds and that is on a 1.12 mile course. That's a HUGE difference. You can honestly feel yourself getting faster and more confident after each lap. So much fun and I guarantee you'll love it.

That sounds pretty awesome. But I've got a few things I need to get set up between now and then before I'd feel confident enough with the setup to take it out there. I might go with you once or twice beforehand and just watch/ridealong.

That's fine, whatever you're comfortable with. You can watch, but you won't be able to get a ride along since my instructor will be in the passenger seat. My cousin decided to come watch me last time and not take his car out. He definitely regretted it afterwards. IMO if you can spend the money and you're going all that way there anyway then you should at least get on the track for a little bit. It's gonna be a long azz drive for you from PA to Summit Point in WV just to watch me drive for 25 mins. :icon17:

You could come to hyperfest in May, which is kind of crowded, but there's lots more to do all day so you won't get bored.

It will all depend on finances as it gets closer and what I've had done. I won't do it without fresh PSS' so not until I get them for sure.

Tires won't really matter that much on your first time out. I went on all seasons and had no issues. Unless your tires are completely worn out, you'll be fine.

Long trip + early departure + non-existant income + high gas prices + shitty tires = couldn't make it. Oh well, there will be another. :ugh2:

I guarantee my friends tires on his GTI are worse than yours...they're about as bad as Shahid's all-seasons were...

Actually, I think they ARE all-seasons...

The rest are valid reasons to shy away.
