I'm planning on starting track season next year around the same time Chris, you can go with me. How many and which ones I go to depend on my job status at the time. If I can't do full HPDE's then I will do hyperdrives for sure. They're like $50 and just one 25 min session of the 4 that would make up a full HPDE day. That's what I did last time and what I'll be doing next week. A lot easier on the wallet and you still get a chance to get out there on the track.

It may not seem like much, but you can learn a whole lot in that 25 min session. In my first one, I improved my lap times from beginning to end by 20 seconds and that is on a 1.12 mile course. That's a HUGE difference. You can honestly feel yourself getting faster and more confident after each lap. So much fun and I guarantee you'll love it.

That sounds pretty awesome. But I've got a few things I need to get set up between now and then before I'd feel confident enough with the setup to take it out there. I might go with you once or twice beforehand and just watch/ridealong.

That's fine, whatever you're comfortable with. You can watch, but you won't be able to get a ride along since my instructor will be in the passenger seat. My cousin decided to come watch me last time and not take his car out. He definitely regretted it afterwards. IMO if you can spend the money and you're going all that way there anyway then you should at least get on the track for a little bit. It's gonna be a long azz drive for you from PA to Summit Point in WV just to watch me drive for 25 mins. :icon17:

You could come to hyperfest in May, which is kind of crowded, but there's lots more to do all day so you won't get bored.

It will all depend on finances as it gets closer and what I've had done. I won't do it without fresh PSS' so not until I get them for sure.

Tires won't really matter that much on your first time out. I went on all seasons and had no issues. Unless your tires are completely worn out, you'll be fine.
