This is the River Rd cruise, correct? More important question, where are we going for lunch? :)

Definitely not the vineyard, my car can't handle that gravel road. Too much scraping :shakes head:

I'm with you Chris. I always get left or end up splitting up the group. It's not that I'm too slow, it's that everyone else is too fast. (clearly...) Plus I have ADD and like to look around when we're up in the woods n stuff. Maybe we can have a slow cruise? Jon likes to cruise slow too. I don't like pressure to keep up, it takes the fun out for me. Plus, I'm not lowered and can handle the vineyards and would rather do that in Middleburg anyway.

Im for a casual cruise, not a full blown race lol

And yes I agree about the pressure to keep up, but im a slowpoke, always will be. (partially because I cant afford another bump in insurance!)

I'm in for a race cruise Fast and Furious style :icon17:

If we could get someone to lead the people who want to drive slow, we could cruise in 2 separate groups and meet up at certain stopping locations and for lunch together.

Blades, lets race.. your Z and my S2000... lets do it! I wanna smoke that azz!

Thatd be fine, but that sorta defeats the purpose of a cruise "together" if two people are 20 minutes away from the rest of the group LOL.

I could just see it now, Whitney and I taking our time and losing the rest of the crowd, ending up in the back country of some hick town.

I would love to drive faster, but I would always pick the road that has a cop on it and out of the 12 people in the cruise, that sob would pull me over since id be at the back.

lol well I don't get pulled over so that's not why I'm slow, I'm just paranoid of ending up overcompensating and ending up in some hicks' ditch of a front yard... but it's weird because I could have SWORN some guy with a Maxima was supposed to take me out driving in the back roads so I could work on my handling and performance driving. But.. who the hell know what happened to that ........................... :ugh2:

Taking driving lessons from a Maxima owner? What's the world coming to these days :stirthepot:

And when I said I'd "take you out driving in the back roads" I meant... well...

Not really. I'm not saying to have you 2 go by yourselves at the end. I'm saying instead of having one big group of 10 cars we could split up into 2 groups of 5. Each one would be led by someone who knows the route and knows where they're going. It would be easier to keep people together with a group of 5 vs a group of 10. We can meet up and regroup at various stopping points and for lunch as well.

This way the people who want to go fast can go fast and those who want to go slow can go slow. Not saying we have to do this, just a suggestion.

well the other problem lies in the fact that whitney and I would probably be the only ones who want to go "slower".
Do we have any volunteers for the "slow" group in this cruise?? :ugh2:

RandyD 07-24-2012 11:53 AM

it is not a big deal to simply wait at the turns for everyone to be together...

on the last cruise- you were not far behind Chris.. and it shouldn't be embarrassing when the front of the pack radios to make sure the last of the pack is ready before any major turn.. it's not always possible to see if you are there - and nobody wants to lose you.

it is still a cruise - not a race. if the front guys get to a stop sign a minute or two before the last guy - not a problem at all..

Let's do this then. You want to do road course or drag strip? Capitol Raceway is open Friday nights and there's a track day at Summit Point on August 18th.
