Same one... because they have the 1/2" 250ft tq and 300ft tq... also an electric 1/2" 350ft tq... it was fully charged... it took off the lugs just fine... however those bolts were too much... I might go back and get the 250ft 1/2" cordless impact drill, creeper, and a pair of jack stands for the sway bar install...

My CBE was installed at my friend's shop. Even with Snap-On electric and air powered impact wrenches we still had to cut 2 bolts. My Z wasn't even 1 year old and that's going by the manufacturing date not the date I got it.

Anyone here with a 40th annivasary 370z with Stillen's plates that live in Culpepper Landing on this forum? There are three Zs in my neighborhood.

Anyone have after market wheels? Thinking about getting the forgestar f14. I will reuse my tpms and tires.

Yep.

I have Volk Racing VR.G2 Type 2s in Formula Silver. 19x9.5 +23 front and 19x10.5 +22 rear with 10mm spacers. They look a lot like TE37s but they are different. They were rare while in product. Rays stopped production last year.

I'll be heading to the north shore of Virigina Beach in August. Sadly enough I'll be in the family hauler. I hope to see some nice Z's while I'm there.

bkngo 02-23-2015 06:21 PM

Vabam,

I like your wheels! I'm hoping to find a good deal on Volks. I'm thinking about selling my Specialized S-works road bike for some new wheels or performance parts. I should be able to get close to $1.5-2K for it. I have not cycle much this winter and Ihave not ride much since I moved to Chesapeake. I miss Va beach area...

Trade it for a mountain bike and come to freedom park. I have been almost hit enough times out running that I won't get a road bike. Fatties driving SUVs will run you down.

On second thought, from where you are freedom park would be an hour and a half drive.

bkngo 02-23-2015 08:27 PM

Bryan,

funny that you said that... I was thinking about purchasing two specialized mountain bikes for the wife and I... I wished you had the FI resonated hfc too... I've been waiting for one for sale on the classified section... I might end up going with the FI resonated test pipes... btw, I love the FI exhaust... even at 2k rpm ;) well, im off to clean my bike and start on my research paper... five more weeks till graduation!!!

I got a few things I want to do with the Z in the next few months... bypass harness, resonated HFC, and a tune... looking for some new wheels too...

Hit us up in this thread closer to when you are coming here. We could ensure that you see some nice Zs. ;)

Keep an eye out in the sale section. You might get lucky like I did. I got my Volks used off of a forum member who lives in Elizabeth city. Mine came with tires, tpms and Rays Duraluminum lugs. They were practically brand new. No sign of use and only 2 years old with a few k of miles on them. He paid over $6k for the set up but sold them to me for $3.5k.

wolfesquire 02-24-2015 10:45 AM

Haha i had a specialized allez and a specialized tarmac with ui2. Decided to sell as i dont have the time to ride/race anymore.

Freedom park is awesome. I went riding there last summer twice. I plan on going back this spring. You go there often?

I thought you took those off the market when you decided to keep the Z. Hit my line. Lets talk about those wheels lol

bkngo 02-24-2015 07:06 PM

I got a reply back from a member about the Forgestar and the SSR... The Forgestar are heavier... how much do the SSR weigh compared to stock (23ish pounds front and rear)?

Anyone have an Uprev tune? also thinking of going with FI resonated HFC and an Uprev tune...

What do you guys think about the standard uprev since I only have bolt ons? That is $500 for the license and cable... so I would download the software, install it on a windows laptop/tablet, hook the cable to the laptop then to the obdii input, upload the e-tune (included in the standard) and start data logging... at least that's what I got from the literature.

bkngo 02-24-2015 07:13 PM

also going with standard because I'm 192 miles from the closest Uprev tuners... Raleigh, NC (Phantasm) or Manassas VA (Ptuning)... about a 3 1/2-4 hr drive one way.

Not often enough, I think I went about 5 times last year. A & B trails are the easy ride, C has the jumps, see saws etc, D & E together are cardio death for me. I also ride at New Quarter Park sometimes too.

wash it

Darketch 03-01-2015 09:43 PM

Don't drive in the snow! I almost died last week. Weather man said it would snow I. The evening, and it started at 10 am while I was at work. Took me 2 hours to get home. Did a 720 trying to stop in traffic, luckily no one was close to me. Car is in the garage until this weather clears for good!

Not sure why the SSR's weight offhand but they are pretty light.

I'm about to go get my uprev tune in a week or two (as long as the shop can squeeze me in). I currently have (or will by then) FI non-res exhaust, FI resonated test pipes, Stillen Gen 3 CAI and the Z1 modified intake plenum.

I plan on going to Moore Automotive which is approximately a 3 hour drive for me but it's worth it in my opinion. I wouldn't waste your money on buying the tuning hardware yourself, just buy a license through somebody and let them tune your car. You'll probably be happier that way.

I guess the only benefit to owning the hardware is the ability to switch tunes though, which could be nice. Up to you really.

Haha what are you doing man!!! I drove in the snow last year and decided to never do it again. Driving the truck in the snow is a different story though. Let's just say I had some fun :driving:

bkngo 03-02-2015 07:03 PM

i drove the z today... too cold to wash her lol... plus it is suppose to rain the next two days then snow...

my wife drives a Genesis coupe but she had to take the CX-5 the last time it snowed because she was drifting all over the road. The Z was not too bad as long as i drove really slow... I have continental extreme contact dws tires which helps.

i got my ecu number from the dealership today for the uprev standard... I contacted Tony about the resonated TP and it will be a few weeks... so i might have to wait until the I get the RTP installed before purchasing the uprev... i want to go get it tune at Moore Automotive but if something goes wrong or i need an update i will have to drive 3 hrs out to get it retune... plus if i move in a few years that could be a problem as well... that why i think the best thing for me is to get the standard uprev with an etune.

Onelownismo, how much louder is the rtp in the cabin? I've listened to it on Youtube but it hard to compare it. Do you mind meeting up sometime so I can listen to your car? I live in the deep creek area which is right by Suffolk.

bkngo 03-02-2015 07:15 PM

BTW, the SSR type F 19x9.5 weighs 20.6lbs and 19x10.5 weighs 21.8lbs...

wolfesquire 03-03-2015 05:27 PM

I've been driving my Z this whole time. Can't wait to use all the chemical guy products to detail her.

I don't actually have them yet. I am still waiting, should be another week and a half I think. I've had non-resonated test pipes and it was pretty damn loud. Then I had high flow cats for a while and it was much more bearable. I'm assuming the res-test pipes will be somewhere in between.

You know other people can tune your car if you move right? I think the license for uprev stays with your car. Also 3 hours is the price to pay for a quality tune. There are some people locally but I don't trust them, no body seems to have experience with the VQ37.

We can meet up sometime if you would like. I'll let you know once they have been installed.

Darketch 03-04-2015 08:09 PM

If y'all decide to meet up, please post here so we can all meet. Y'all could talk car parts/tune over Starbucks (I need 3 more stars to be a gold member!)

bkngo 03-05-2015 12:19 AM

Cool... I would like to meet up. Are you installing it? How long was your wait?

I made it to Ohio safely... I am glad I didn't take the Z now because there was 3" of snow in West VA. However it would of been nice to drop it off for a tune this weekend.

Onelownismo 03-05-2015 07:43 AM

Yes I'm installing it myself, I don't like to let shops/dealers touch my car unless it's something I just can't figure out or don't have the tools for.

My wait is 4 weeks. I wish I would have ordered them sooner because I might miss my chance at VIR now.

Jsmith7861 03-06-2015 12:34 AM

Hope you guys are doing decent, been mega busy the past few months.

Probably gonna have an intake, FI exhaust, and hopefully tune by the end of the year. Might wrap her a matte metallic soon, not sure yet though.

If you guys need a detailer for your rides let me know, I'd be happy to hook you up with a good price on a detail.
