he's like, super busy doing long division at work. He needs his rest. Lol

Yeah we all know how the government works their employees to pure exhaustion

Tigger 11-10-2013 04:08 PM

so I think I figured it out. Waiting for the news on the Tokyo auto show about the Z or the Supra. If I like, either, modding stops and I'm going to save and buy one or the other when they're released. Or the Alfa Romeo 4C (slim chance given the other two options)

if they both suck, gonna mod the living hell out of the Z and keep her. In that case, Kai, you'll be hired. :)

anyone else here intend on getting the new Z? Just curious. November 22/23 can't come soon enough!

Ryguy 11-10-2013 04:12 PM

Damn it seems like your plans jump around a lot. But I am interested in seeing the new supra. Why don't you just get the new corvette?

A lot people think that working for the Federal Government is a walk in the park.

Well, IS NOT...and it all depends on your Job Series & requirements for the pay grade, Branch of Service you are working for and your Chain of Command (Yes, civilian also have one) plus you also get quarterly evaluations.

From what I read the new Z is either a 4 cylinder turbo or a "detuned" version of the VQ we're running now. The only difference there may be is style. The Supra I know nothing about, but guaranteed it'll be over priced.

I pretty fluid when it comes to cars. Plans do change a lot but eventually they narrow down until I pick one and run with it. Just like what happened with the Z.

Supra I'm assuming will top $55k. As long as the performance specs are there, it's light and produces at least 400hp, I'll be sold. I mean, it'll be AWD and should be the sum of the works of Toyota and BMW. If it's a beast then why not? If I actually do everything I'd want to do to the Z it would easily top $20k without trying. Simple math makes that a $55k car with quite possibly 1/3 the performance characteristics. Doesn't make sense to invest that much.

I don't know any toyota production car that's had 400hp out of the gate. Good luck with that Supra. It'll probably look good! And have plenty of aftermarket parts and options. But 400hp out the gate? The M3 barely has that, and how much is the M3? You're looking at 57-60k. And I believe it'd be safe to assume that it won't have a v8 in it... sooo...yeah AND there's no way you're going to leave that Supra stock, so add the 20k you would have put into it on top. Oh...well then you might as well have bought a GTR... New argument. LOL

Toyota Hybrid-R concept car to pack at least 400 horsepower, will debut at Frankfurt Auto Show - NY Daily News

We'll see...

I'm happy with my Z. Honestly I'll probably never sell it. This time next year I hope to have it set up as a full on track car. :driving:

The pics themselves aren't bad. I'd say we could have used a scenery change. LOL
