I have a short shifter on my TC..... I love it. I had those issues in the beginning, but you just have to get a feel for the car. I'm more concerned about it ******* up syncho rev.

Onelownismo 10-30-2013 10:28 AM

I used to want a short shifter but realized I have no reason for one. I think the only place they benefit you would be at the drag strip.

Ryguy 10-30-2013 10:33 AM

I agree, I think the shifter is short enough stock in my opinion. And like Tigger was saying it sounds like a pain to get used to for such little benefit.

Voice59 10-30-2013 10:46 AM

If I had a different shift knob, then yes it would be short enough. But with the stock shift knob a short shifter would be the perfect throw. It's not really a pain at all. I've made the mistake of 4th to 2nd with my shifter now... so it's not the short shifter causing that. It would probably have happened anyway. I mean to each their own, but it's definitely something that once you have it, you'll apreciate it.

You're brake setup is beautiful. Someday I may step up to a BBK but oem with the Z1 upgrade kit seems to be doing the job so far.

I'm guessing you track the car?

Thanks! :tiphat:

Yes, I do track my car.

Don't disagree with that.
Especially considering the roads in our area.
That's why I'm not dropping my Z.
Keeping it at factory height even with the new coilovers.

I think I may have seen your car back in April or May at the package store by Norfolk base. Either that or someone else has a black Z with those wheels. That's highly unlikely though. The ONLY other black Z that I've seen other than that one...was running4mayors.

Wasn't me.
Haven't been around NOB in years.
I would be very surprised if another 370Z was running the same rims as me in our area. I'm running Volk Racing G2 Type 2s. They look like TE37s but there are differences like the VR stamp into one of the spokes like standard G2s. The Type 2s are rare and they cost more too. I don't think they make them anymore. Got mine used from another forum user. In the VIR pic I had the center caps removed.

Really..........

I was referring back to when he stalled his car at the light. And there is nothing wrong with a little bit of man love here and there. You forget I was a MM.

If you plan on putting some track time in next season let me know. I plan on going to every event I can afford to go to. I did VIR and Summit Point this past year.

You're probably right. I have the standard G2's. I really wish I got the rears with a little lip on it. Ah well.. Looks like a reason to get new wheels.
