Asking cuz I dont know: As far as I can tell, you cant "see" the improvement accuratly because of the CVT Vs Dyno, correct? But if you tune a manual of the same car with uprev, is this not a good average of what you will get as far as improvement? What I mean is, the improvement happens, even though you cant get a good read with your tranny, right? Or is half the tune wrapped up in the gearing?

A guy on my forum got his car UpRev tuned about a month ago. Looked like in the 4th manual ratio (closest 1:1) he saw around 20hp increase to the wheels across the rev range.

Nice He had CVT too? How modded was his ride? Did they just do extra dyno runs to get a better average? Sorry to attack you with questions, its just they come up *elseware* and I have always been curious about the cvt and its amazing powerband act and the possible future potentials it implies. Sorry maybe the wrong thread for this. THREADJACK!

Yeah, 2009+ Maximas only come with the CVT trans. His ride had basic boltons like intake, exhaust, BOP's. You can remove the ABS relay fuse which kind of helps steady the dyno pulls, but the rubber band trans is still doing its job of trying to find the best ratio even when in manual mode.

how come no one took pics of my car on the dyno, and no one posted the results from your shop?

Please pm me your info. I probably snapped a couple pics of your car on our dyno. If I find anything I can post it in this thread.
