It felt like my knee was in my chest when it began to engage. I stalled it three times in the parking lot and then couldn't find reverse. Having heard that there's significant variation in units, in hindsight it would've been wise to test drive others, but I just decided to go with the paddle shifters. Maybe the next car will be stick...
ahhhh ok.. I thought I missed something, atleast you gave it a shot, I would let you drive my Z because you have experience in driving a stick rather than "some" people that claim to know how to drive a stick.

I will definitely take you up on that, just to see what it's like. I did enjoy driving MT when I had one. It was stop-and-go traffic that made me switch to auto when my car was totalled in 2003.
