The one thing I didn't try was using a heat gun to see if I could conform to curves better, but I wasn't sure what would happen to the adhesive if I did that. I didn't want to rip any paint off of it. Speaking of which, it DID leave a bit of a residue that was hard to remove. I ended up giving up and went down there without any coverage. There wasn't much in the way of bugs so the car was looking good on arrival.
