First CDC event of the year is the 19th at Frederick. Also, there is a BMW NCC event in Waldorf. The waldorf lot rocks, but the drive is a bitch. Not positive which I will be at. Made a few shake down runs of the new set-up while instructing at BMW School last weekend....

Not fun packing up a Z with 4 hoosiers, tool box, jack (small one), fold out chair, air compressor, helmet, tq wrench, etc....

Hey Mike; nice run on Saturday. 7th overall in the CDC and only your second year of auto-x. You will be going places kid…at least in a parking lot…

I felt good for my 1st run of the season and I was pleased with my times.

I also liked all the attention my car was getting. FAST TIP: If you want to get noticed, and don't drive a Ferrari, attach bits of clearly homemade aero to your ride.

Don’t kill you’re A6’s at the test and tune.

Truth be told yesterday was a pure failure...I had a catastrophic seat issue. Fixed it this morning and was way faster. Best of 38.41 with Larry in the passenger seat. Could have been a 37.9 with some warmer temps, no passenger and a bit more talent. Most that ran both days were faster yesterday......though it was a bit cooler today.

If I can be consistently 1-1.2s off the XP cobras and occasionally keep them honest.....I am happy in terms of CDC.

Can't believe there is the potential of snow for the SCCA test day on Sunday.

Need more 370's to start coming out!

Results for Saturday are up....

I chickened out at the end of the best run....should have stayed in it!

Damn I suck!

Mike.

That course just killed me. For some reason my brain just can't work out any course with a lot of gates.

I am going to bring Butters (my Boston Terrier) to the next event. That way Luna will have to spectate.

Do you mind riding with me and giving me some pointers?

I remember running on that lot in 98ish... Was small then. Seems smaller now. I would try and do some of your events but they are always on those small lots. They planning on getting on any bigger lots?

Also am an AI member, though I have been too busy for the last two seasons of AutoX to get out there and work, or have fun driving.

Capital Driving Club trades off large lots for ease of use. You don't have to worry about classes or having to stay all day. They run a very smooth operation and keep to the schedule.

I only run the morning heats (they give you an extra run if you only run the morning) and I am always back home by 1:00 pm. It’s nice to run an autocross season and still be able to have some of my Saturdays left.

I run with lots of clubs...AI, SCCA, PCA, BMW, etc. Frederick is my least favorite by a large margin, but it is only 1mi from my house.

The biggest lot CDC uses is Winchester. Woodbridge is probably second.

Waldorf is probably the best lot in the area....it is just a fairly long drive from Frederick.

Sure. If you want to stick around for the second heat you can ride with me as well.

Sounds like a plan.

I was crap today....furthest I have been from the FTD winner in quite a while at CDC. Wade edged out Brian by .04. 38.00 vs 38.04.

Thanks for the instruction Mike. I ran my fastest time with you on my second run.
