Almost got taken out by an old lady in a big black caddy...

She decided that she was going to follow the truck into the post office parking lot. Truck had lots of room. The caddy not so much. She was 3/4 of the way into my lane before she got it stopped. I had the antilock brakes maxed out and just managed to steer around her. I think there was less than an inch between her bumper and my drivers side wheel.

Thank god no one was pulling out of the post office lot or I would have been screwed...

Damn, glad you escaped ok. I know which post office you're talking about and I've had some close calls there as well.

Spending Presidents Day afternoon watching the Top Gear Marathon on BBC America -- AND doing some home network administration/maintenance..... Gotta love Top Gear! Jeremy Clarkson is such an "pompous @$$" -- probably why I like him so much!

Just drove a cts-v coupe....well I found a car I like more than my Z. Blows the cl63 out of the water. Need that promotion here in may!

I was really impressed with it when I saw it at the DC Auto Show. Didn't get to drive one though.

Already? Can't blame you though, I've been thinking about upgrading from the Z for a little while now. Only thing stopping me is not having the money to do it

Yeah the thought has crossed but the Z is paid off and being debt free is nice. I'd most likely have to return to having monthly payments if I were to get a new 335i and have no desire doing that.

Plan B is to save up so I can buy a Corvette outright in cash in a couple years. Then the Z can be the beater car.

You can get a used 335i in the $20-30k range.

C7 Corvette is on my list of possible next cars.
