Just wanted to post this up here, as I live in Indiana and this was one of my concerns..

My buddy lives in Knoxville TN and said the Dragon is closed at the TN entrance until late September. The only way to enter the Dragon is through NC, and once you get to the end you have to turn around and come back.

Yep, we are aware of that, but thanks for the post.

Dayum! That's big time. Are you the only owner or did you pick it up used?

Back on topic -- I'm on Griot's Garage right now about to order a roll of that protective film and possibly a couple other things. :shakes head:

Well you talked me into it. I just ordered that protective travel film. Cleaning off the bugs from last years maine trip was a freaking nightmare. Never again.

Side note: Also picked up their car care bag ( just the bag with all the pockets and not the supplies). It's a nightmare caring around all my supplies and this should help a ton. Pretty cheap at 40 bucks too. Right now I carry everything in a bucket which is good for close to home, but really need something else to carry the stuff when I take road trips.

Now the last I need is a camera I can mount. Is the go pro HD the best? Can any of you camera geeks (I mean that with love) chime in here?

I was thinking about the car bag but I think I'll just get a travel organizer from Target instead... it will be bigger and I can carry more of my crap.

As far as the camera goes, the Go Pro HD is really neat!

Man, I checked target and walmart and couldn't find a good one. Hope you are more lucky than me.

I remember seeing a decent one last time I was there. I'll let you know what I find.

Final Route

Here's the route I think we have all settled on:

ZDAYZ Caravan Route - Google Maps

Just an update and very slight modification to my original "Option 2."

Sounds good, Lance. I'll draft up an itinerary this weekend. :)
