Would be nice if we could find a place near Ashville to get some bugs washed off the Z's -- we'll ALL have some dead bugs on the noses & side mirrors....

They have a car wash area setup at Fontana Village.

Don't need it if you have a waterless car wash w0w0w0w.

BTW... we're driving down together... but what about coming back up? lol.

Good question. I'm sure more than a few of us will want to caravan back. I'm undecided on my Sunday plans though as I'm off on Monday. I may take the scenic route back. ;-)

I'm off Monday as well... Dunno if I can stand that much time in the car, though. :icon18:

Seems like it's a little thicker and has a light adhesive. I think maybe with a squeegee (sp?) and some quick detailer it could be a pretty decent looking temporary protectant.

Yeah, I'll probably be ready to head straight home. Guess I'll play it by ear.

Oh, I've got 9,650 miles on my car right now... The big 10K fast approaches! :ugh2:

I'll be at 20k by the time we meet up to leave for ZDayZ! I'm at ~18500 right now. :shakes head:

Well at least your driving it! I bet Tony isn't up to 3K yet, LOL!

m4a1mustang 04-27-2010 08:41 AM

I think I'm going to order a roll of that film... If it works cleanup will be a breeze -- just peel the bugs off!!!

zZSportZz 04-27-2010 10:49 AM

Hrmmm that film is interesting. only 30 bucks too. I might try it as well. However, touch ups at our stops might be good enough. Really don't want to look like a tool driving down there, especially with a line of Z's that will garnering a lot of attention.

I don't care what I look like. I might try to find a big white diaper to put on her rear!

I'm sure with some care and patience you can do a pretty clean "install".
