I'm hotel-ing it in the area...since there is no way in hell i can be there by 6am. I'd have to leave at 4:30.

There are a couple of us talking about ZConn but nobody is for sure as it is over five days and its not exactly cheap when you register and start adding up the events. Plus, the main hotel they had blocked is full, although they have a second hotel with rooms. I'm just trying to see if work will let me take the time off.

I doubt I will be attending ZCon... I need to save my vaca days for later in the year!!!

Good idea. Where did you get a room? The Hyatt is right there by the parking lot... convenient.

After seeing the hotel prices in the Fairfax area (the hyatt, for example, is 230 bucks a night with a government rate!!) I think I'm just gonna man up and get up at 4:30. I'll be rolling in probably close to 6am though, so no leaving without me!!

Dude no way... just look at some other cheaper hotels in the area. I'm sure you can get one for $100 or less that's within 30 minutes of the meeting site!!! Well, at least less than $230.

Try looking for some hotels in manassas or out towards the dulles airport.

Holiday Inn Express in Woodbridge is at $116.00 for a king bed. Thats about a 25 min drive or sooner at that time of the morning.
