My guess is the law is going to define each individual LED as a "light." If you read through the code it gets very specific about the maximum output of certain lights, including any one interior bulb (no greater than 15 candlepower... could LED interior lights be illegal?

After she had me sign the ticket I asked her....."Hey, what about this?" and I turned on my blue map lights. She peeked in and shook her head and said, "Well, I wouldn't drive with those on."

Meh...it's not points....just a fine.....I told her....."I'll accept as many warnings and tickets as you guys give me. I won't be removing the lights." She shrugged and said that was my choice. Then I asked her....."Hey, wanna see under the hood?" She was like...."SURE!" So there I was.....no lights on the fuel gauge....hood up.....12:15 AM on Fairfax County Parkway.....with two cops shining their flashlights into my hood checking my car out.

(before I opened hood I told her...."Ok, no matter what you see under here, you can't give me an additional ticket, ok?" She laughed and agreed....she was really cool....just doing her job)
