Picture Link from Z Con 2010 and some other stuff....
A "smug-mug" link from the VP of the ZCCNV (Beth) whom some of you met at ZDayZ this Spring. Anyway she's posted some pretty good photos from last weekend's Z Con from Nashville. ZCCA Nashville 2010 - zladyeducator64's Photos Next year's event is in Savannah, GA -- we are thinking about attending...
Just wanted to mention that I hope I'm not breaking an unwritten Mid A group rulez for the meet this Saturday, but I'm bringing a freakin camping chair (maybe 2 ea.) on Sat to sit my lazy arse in........ I think it promotes group camaraderie (and my own personal comfort) :icon17: Also bringing some samples of a DRAFT Mid A group "Z Card" (like a business card) based on a design beaujolais's helped me put together. If I can get energetic tomorrow, I might even be able to send out an electronic copy sometime tomorrow -- anyway, just something for the gathered to review and provide feedback on...... See Ya'll Saturday -- and don't forget LUNCH! Just a thought.....it is time for another visit to Todai's? |

I was thinking of bringing an accessory with me as well. If I have time, I'll do eet. I'm up for Todai's, although that'll mark 3 out of the 4 meals I've eaten with you folks to be sushi. Not that I'm complaining! Edit: that fourth out of four meals was Gordon Biersch, where I had already eaten sushi for lunch. :bowrofl: |

Attached are a couple of variations (.pdf is attached) of a Mid A group "Z Card". These were intended to be "generic" (e.g. not 370Z specific) to be more inclusive of the larger group.
Obviously, these are just up for consideration by the group -- I'm sure there are multiple design options, and certainly others may have a different design for consideration -- no pride in authorship here. Anyway, the actual design document is in MS Word 2007, so personal edits can be made -- will make those available by request -- just shoot me a PM with the desired e-mail address you'd like me to shoot the template to. All from here -- see ya'll tomorrow. |

Then it's not fixed should you change venue or time later, like the Chantilly meet. Also how about some color? ;) |
Brian, lunch is at Todai around noon.

If it wasn't - it should have been:) Any way, driving home saw the white 370 Nismo from Brown's on a test drive. Reminded me I needed to go to Brown's for them to check my front fascia. I talked with the guy who was looking to buy it and I told him of the fun we had so maybe we'll have a new member soon. I am in for next Saturday - Where are we doing lunch - hungry already:) Brian |

"Final Draft" -- Mid A Z Card
2 Attachment(s)
OK, so here are the final drafts for comment/suggestions. After discussions on Saturday, I altered the approach a little with a Front & Back design.
- Front design is intended to be a "generic" group info, when & where we meet, forum contact info, etc. - Back design is intended to be an "optional" back of card design for those who wish to add personal contact info. Personally, I don't think there is a right or wrong design, I think as long as the info is consistent, it doesn't really matter.... THAT SAID, you will note I drafted a couple of "group names" -- I'll defer to the group as to which one is preferred -- pretty sure there are positives & negatives to both, also sure there are other names so I'll just leave those out there for feedback. Once we get a consensus (or something close to that), I'll finalize the designs and post them -- Editable design is done in MS Word 2007 -- templates are designed to fit the Avery Business Card Stock #5371 |

These are awesome!!!!
I like the card on the right with the Z's and the logos as the wheels. I think you should take out the bit about Kohl's and just say the Starbucks and the address. All Z's Welcome is fine. If you don't want to do color, we could change the typeface and make it a little jazzier (but still easy to read quickly). If you do decide to use color then try it with the Mid-Atlantic Z Group, the bold Z's and Coffee, and the bottom All Z's Welcome. And mayyyyyyybe try color on the outline of the cars (which color is the dilemma though) or you could make different color options and we can just choose which color and print it that way. Thanks guys- you rock. ;) |
