I had my alignment checked after letting the spring settle for couple weeks and needed a camber kit. I went with both front and rear with rear toe bolts. Each Z is different in how they drop so you need to have the alignment checked to be sure.

whew, the exhaust looks like its awfully low. Any scraping issues with the swifts? Not that it really matters now, but my driveway is going to be real fun to back out of. Now I get to decide what to do next. Stillen sways is about the only thing I can think of. Definitely no 500 dollar cai.

You can get the CAI used for $300 like I did, it works just as good

How will you know if you really need them? Do you get an alignment, and if they cant align it properly, then they need to install camber arms?

Thanks guys! :tiphat:

I actually took my coworker who owns a Challenger SRT-8 for a drive and he was surprised how deep it sounded, even has that burble at low rpm.

I won't lie, they ARE low. I measured and I have like 3 inches of ground clearance but the way they sit is right inside the rear wheels so there is very little chance of bottoming out.

As for your driveway, may want to check out Bridjit curb ramps. I got a set for my driveway and they work perfectly. :tiphat:

The savings from getting them installed at Kirk's Garage also helped a lot

Yo Kirk, you showing up to the meet this Saturday? I heard you challenged Lou's GT-R to some linear acceleration experiments :bowrofl:

I will be there as long as I don't have to make an emergency trip way down south... Boost is sitting at 9.8psi in 50° weather...

Part of the reason I haven't been hanging around so much. Having this car and trying to save up for a home at the same time don't mesh well.

Cristobal09 12-01-2011 02:08 PM

Heck I bought this car to prevent me from spending thousands on repair bills for my M3. My credit cards are taking even more of a hit since I bought this. But hanging out with great people and spending money on my ride is worth it.

It also helps that I already own a home, nothing else to save up for!

Hopefully you're not paying on your Z, that can be pretty tough.:ughdance:

Ha, im on an eternity loan with my Z! Im paying so much more than what the car is worth but when you get a new car every year, that negative equity can be a pain, and thank God I got a great interest rate, but I plan on keeping this car for awhile. (thats what I said about my M3, my charger, my s4..all which i kept less than a year and a half)

Haha you sound exactly like my friend. He is rarely on this forum (SolidKatfish) but he is just like you and can't seem to keep with one car.

He's had everything from an STi, 370Z, Mustang 5.0... Running joke with him is every time he gets a new car we place bets on how many months he ends up keeping it. :bowrofl:

my payments are about $200 a month and I've been paying double so its really a non issue. The only reason I financed the car was to build credit for the eventual home purchase. I could pay the car off now if I really wanted to but the interest rate is so low I can make that money perform better for me other places.

I look back at all the cars I've had, and really my Z is thee nicest one I've had yet, but I end up keeping my cars a few years. Thank goodness you got a low interest rate, I'd say if you could get your Z down to what it currently retails for, you could always refinance it for a better rate.

I run my cars into the ground... the only one I got rid of before it died was my 350. Had to have a 370. Now that it is boosted it is going to be staying a lonnnnnng time.
