Clear bra the Carbon Fiber front bumper, removing all swirl marks, installing the Cube lighting kit, upgrading my 4300K headlight bulbs back to 6000K, hopefully fixing my camber/adjustment issue so I don't have to buy new tires, and finally a full detail on Saturday. Whew....that's more than I remember telling them to do....and that doesn't even include fixing or at least trying to fix the rear valence issue. :icon14:

Kevin said mine could be finished by Friday....if so, I'll just leave it and pick it up on Saturday morning. They open @ 9 AM.

Ah I see. I was wondering why it would take so long. What do you mean by upgrading your headlights? Did you not get the same bulbs when MR Works did your housings? I don't want the LED's if I don't get the same bulbs back.

When you get the modded ones installed just make sure to get them to put the ones that were already in your OEM set back in. I asked Leehigh to do it for me and I was told it isn't possible to swap out the bulbs due to the Demon Eye. If that was true then what's going happen when my current bulbs do go bad?

D&V laughed when I told them that.....they said it's not a problem. Since mine weren't swapped.....I sent my OEM's to MR Works with the 6000K bulbs still in them.....never to be seen again. I had to purchase new ones.

Humm.... maybe I don't need fancy schmancy LED's after all. I don't want to have to go through this...

:bowrofl: I'm gonna say if you've never purchased new bulbs or had them replaced for any reason you still have stock bulbs. In that case, no issues like I had. You're good to go.....now get those headlights modded!

m4a1mustang 04-28-2010 09:37 AM

Maybe ill meet you at DandV, tony. Ill let you know.

Sounds good! Just send me a text or give me a call. ;) If things go fast at D&V we can either go back to Ruby Tuesday's or just head back to Starbuck's.

I had 6K before......it did bring in a slight tinge of blue in the lights but nothing like those 10K or 12K lights....those are hella blue!

So you had special bulbs in place before your MR Works stuff?

Exactly. And I told Leehigh that in the note I wrote for them but I was told once the modded headlights were on there was no swapping back to old headlights. If that's the case....then what will happen when the bulbs in the MR Works do go out? Kevin @ D&V said its no different than swapping out any other headlight....the Demon Eyes make no difference.

When the hell and why did you ever swap your bulbs out LOL! ;-)

m4a1mustang 04-28-2010 10:04 AM

I figure we would head back to Starbucks to meet up with everyone else (hopefully by 10-10:30)... I'm assuming we'd be at DandV at 9... who knows, depends on where and when I wake up!

Yeah....I've heard as you go higher up the visibility lessens. I was told 6K to 8K is pretty good. But once you start messin' around in the 10K factor....it's all about looks and it isn't assisting in driving visibility.

100% True, you lose distance.

Just found out that my wheels won't be able to be finished until next week due to powdercoater being backed up with work. But the other stuff will still get done before. Now I'm trying to order a set of black lug nuts to fit my OEM Rays...at least I have some more time now to get them. Won't have the Z for this weekend though. :(

Make sure they are the correct style. I haven't seen any aftermarket lugs that work with our Rays yet.

Yeah, thats the challenge. I have been in contact with Tray at Forged and he is looking for a set that will fit. Hey I'm looking at a weather report for Saturday that says mostly sunny and a high of 87 degrees!

Sunday is supposed to be pretty hot, too. That College Park met will have a good turn out with nice weather I bet.

m4a1mustang 04-28-2010 07:08 PM

Sunday is the day my Porter Cable meets the Z... :D

Whew....good....I'll take sunny & hot over rain anytime. One of the guys over @ my350 left me a message over there saying he's hearing a possibility of rain on Sunday.

Hopefully either really early or really late. :icon17:

If thunderstorms, those will likely be later in the day as that is the way it usually happens. Gets warm, then hot, then humid, then thunderstorms.

I haven't gotten a call from Kevin yet today but he said my car might be finished today. However, I'm still not picking it up until tomorrow. I'll be up there sometime between 9 - 9:30 AM. (

They open @ 9, btw)
