Steve and Doug (Sheesh I hope I remembered your name correctly), good to see both of you this morning! Was nice meeting you Doug and nice to see your 300Z. I look forward to you bringing the Black Cherry roadster. It'll make for some nice pics with Steve's PW roadster for certain!

Back at ya Jon -- good to see you and your bride as well.

Doug, good to meet you and I'll re-state how happy I am to have ANOTHER ZR in the group :icon17: Looking forward to seeing your ride in person, although that 300Z looked pretty good considering it's maturity - you've obviously take very good care of her.

Now if we could JUST get them Sat morning temps up maybe 10-15 more degrees!!!!

m4a1mustang 03-06-2010 08:09 PM

Wish I could have made it out... was moving today. Jon -- I think I saw you on 123 today at around 2:45, I was driving a Penske truck.

Interestingly, just minutes before that sighting, I saw a Pearl White coupe on Old Bridge road in Woodbridge.

That was indeed me and I also saw that white 370Z on 123. Hope to see you next weekend as long as the weather holds up.

I'll be out there. I'm driving from Woodbridge now so no longer can I roll out of bed at 9:55 and make it to Starbucks before 10! Ah well, I'll enjoy the drive. :driving:

If I can snap out of this cold I have I'll make it next weekend....with the Volk's and RE-11's back on! :woot:

Depending on where in Woodbridge, should be no more than 20 mins. For me it takes about 45 mins from Stafford, give or take depending on the traffic. I always put a positive spin in that I get to drive the Z a little bit more to and from. Now maybe we can see about who will want to cruise down to HR to meet up down there with the VA Beach Z crowd?

getawaydriver 03-07-2010 07:29 AM

Was out for the Old Town St Paddy's Day parade. Will try to make it out again next week. This spring time weather is making it all the more difficult to make non-driving event plans.

Same follows suit for drinking events ;D

Sscottfitz 03-07-2010 07:59 AM

Getaway makes a good point -- as the weather gets better, maybe we should give some thought to doing some local cruises/touring.....? Maybe a tour someplace for a little lunch before folks break out and finish up their normal Sat activities......just me thinkin out loud......

m4a1mustang 03-07-2010 08:06 AM

That sounds like a good idea. We could meet up at the usual location and head out for lunch somewhere, maybe. There are some nice places to eat tucked away in random places around here.

There are copious amounts of great food spots in Arlington/Alexandria but of course if we head up there parking becomes a problem, especially on a Saturday at lunch time!!!

m4a1mustang 03-07-2010 09:36 AM

You know, I was thinking... for our big cruise down to ZDayZ we are probably going to want to get some two-way radios! lol

I will be heading back down to my old stomping grounds of Hampton later this year for sure. Haven't been back in at least 5 years or longer.

Agree -- will make "convoy cruise coord" a little easier -- If everyone sticks with the most common brand (Motorola I think) it will make sync'ing channels a little easier.

Whatever the group consensus is, we're in.....

m4a1mustang 03-07-2010 11:29 AM

Depending on how many people are going to be in the cruise we may need to break up into fireteams, er... um, groups of 4-5 cars each with a cruise leader... in case we get separated... it would make it easier to coordinate if we got separated.

Sscottfitz 03-07-2010 11:55 AM

I assume the plan for those wanting to convoy, is an "early morning" departure on Thursday, 20 May?

m4a1mustang 03-07-2010 12:04 PM

I think so, probably a very early morning departure.

ZCarMan 03-07-2010 03:45 PM

Radios: Yes. Depart early: Yes, Plan out trip down: YES. Cruise on weekend before to lunch: Yes. When we left last weekend, my Wife and I went to Maryland and down 301 and came across Southern Maryland and back up I-95. It was a nice drive. We stopped in Waldor at Carrabas for lunch, they had a pretty good sized parking lot and opened at 3PM. Food for thought if anyone might want to do that. The only thing was that you had to do a U-Turn to come back to the restaurant but it was really easy.

Z Meet...

Okay...no longer lurking in the shadows. Finally registered.... Had the PW 370Z out about two weeks ago with my son. Just wanted to say we had a great time meeting all you and will get out to as many meets as possible.

Back at ya, enjoyed meeting you guys as well -- we needed another "white Z" in the group to balance those bold yellows, blues, reds, etc. AND we have a Black Cherry ZR in the group as well.

Welcome to the discussion.:driving:

Hi-TecDesigns 03-08-2010 06:50 AM

I may have to join you guys some morning... sounds like you need a few more roadsters, especially some with a little wine (not whine!) ;)

zZSportZz 03-08-2010 09:08 AM

I want to convoy down to ZDays with everyone, but I'm in MD. Will have to work logistics out with someone :) Maybe meet on the road someplace....

Edit: I'll probably head to another Starbucks "get-together" in April. I have a dent in my door (someone hit me in parking lot) which is scheduled to be fixed on April 5th. I won't be seen in public until that happens haha!

m4a1mustang 03-08-2010 09:13 AM

We are going to stage at the normal Starbucks location.

tooohip 03-08-2010 09:36 AM

Yeah Rick just meat us at Starbucks on the 20th. We can figure out times as it gets closer, but plan on a very early departure. ;-) Radios fursure! I'll look at picking up a couple Motorola Talk abouts I believe they are called.

A cruise someplace for lunch sounds like a great idea too! Would be fun to find some mom & pop operation down a windy road. ;-)

getawaydriver 03-08-2010 11:11 AM

In for a weekend cruise and lunch.

zZSportZz 03-08-2010 12:13 PM

Count me in....after April 5th!!

rtcpenguin 03-10-2010 09:09 AM

This is hilarious I live right next to that Starbucks. I mean i literally walk to it like twice a week.

Yeah I might stop by this saturday. Me and my bro just got 370z's. Red and yellow. It owns!!! Owns i tell you!!! :tiphat:

m4a1mustang 03-11-2010 11:29 PM

So are we still meeting up if it's raining on Saturday? Let me know what you guys plan on doing -- if not then I'll just stay home.

Sscottfitz 03-12-2010 06:03 AM

Might just be me, but if it is REALLY going to rain as hard as the "weather guessers" are saying, it might be a good Sat to let the roads get rinsed off and defer to a drier week -- unfortunately for me (OK, maybe NOT so unfortunately), I'm in Hawaii for a couple of weeks -- working of course -- back in early April

m4a1mustang 03-12-2010 09:47 AM

I don't mind the rain that much, so if anyone wants to hang out inside with some coffee I'll come on out if I'm not still drunk or hungover from tonight.

NCSUPACK09 03-12-2010 02:27 PM

Like Sscottfitz said, I think I'm just gonna let the rain wash off all the salt and grit on the road and make it out to Starbucks on the next nice Saturday.

m4a1mustang 03-12-2010 03:52 PM

Yeah, I think I'm gonna do the same.

SigPapa226 03-12-2010 03:54 PM

third that

2theextreme 03-12-2010 04:09 PM

Awww man...and I just got the Volk's & RE-11's back on.....oh, & mustang? I can't adjust or change the way my rear camber is until I purchase a rear camber kit. AAM suggested I do it.....so when I get my headlights in they will be installing:

1. Modded headlights
2. Cube interior lighting kit
3. Rear Camber arms
4. Rear Differential
5. Maybe a front & rear CF valence

Whew.....and an AAM front window banner! :woot: Bring on Z Dayz!!

Jon@Altered 03-12-2010 04:58 PM

^ You can change your camber, but with factory components you have a limited adjustment range. An Aftermarket Camber kit will help you get more precision with adjusting the +/- degree you want to angle your rear wheels. Designed mostly for auto x/track guys, but it's good to have on the street for your car Tony; because of the height of the suspension and the size of your wheels, you'll want to adjust the rear wheels accordingly to get the maximum performance from those RE11s.
