Can someone give me the address for the Dobbin location? Searched the thread and found 2 different addresses and need to know which one to go to. What time are we meeting?

4r3s 02-09-2011 01:26 PM

its really the columbia crossing shopping center. Im not sure where everyone parked last time for the meet as I showed up late and everyone was at famous daves already.

I will see you guys at the Dobbin location this Saturday. Here are some pics of the Z today taken by Jon at AAM after they installed my Swift Springs.

Drop looks perfect! What are your thoughts on the ride?

I'm really pleased with the drop. The ride is definitely firmer but not in a bad way. I only had the drive home in rush hour traffic today so I will reserve my review of the overall performance of the springs.

Damn that looks perfect, Jon!!!

Yep - like the new drop look -- be careful and don't let that car become a "show car"....:icon17: (Sorry Tony, just joking....)

I'm sure somewhere back in the thread there is a Dobbin location listed, but because I'm old, fat, & lazy, can someone remind me of the exact location (street address or Lat/Long is fine). Looks like the weather is going to be reasonable this weekend and I need to get the ZR out for a little exercise...Thanks....

Looks super nice that drop! How much is the drop, .75" or 1.0" or more?

Car looks great man! Damnit... after seeing that I might have to actually get the Eibach pro-kit for mine :tiphat:

TROOPER 02-10-2011 08:51 AM

It's lookin sweet Jon... I've got my Tein S-Tech springs, I've just been waiting for the spring/summer before getting them installed.

tooohip 02-10-2011 09:14 AM

Thanks Papo, Trooper, Jay, Lance!

Papo, I didn't measure it. It will likely settle maybe 1/8th of inch more. I believe the drop from Swift Sport Springs for the 370Z is supposed to be something on the order of 1.25 Front and 1.0 in the rear.

Any problems with lowering due to the spacers?

That's my only concern with dropping mine, as I have 10mm H&R's on the front, and the front wheels extend the fender slightly.

Although I think the drop on the Tein S-Techs are a little less agressive, maybe 1" front & 0.7" rear. That might be slightly different considering I have the Nismo though.

None that I noticed but I only had it on the road for the drive home from AAM so I'll let you know. So far its all good!

m4a1mustang 02-10-2011 10:17 AM

Sport rims with a 15mm spacer shouldn't have an issue with a moderate drop. If you encounter any rubbing at all you can just get some of the front camber arms and dial in some more negative camber.

4r3s 02-11-2011 08:28 AM

Just ordered my new wheels and accesories from eric @ driveline, should be here by the time it starts to get warm out! Pretty excited, my total with driveline was $400 cheaper than everyone else's base price for just the rims, not including lugs, hub rings, and center caps. Is it April yet?!?!?!

Probably not. My pedals aren't due to arrive until tomorrow, and I have to install them, I have to get the Mazda worked on yet again , and I want to install another small mod on the Z.

Peddles Schmeddles, just strap on some wood blocks and go for it! LOL j/k. Well the weather is looking good for tomorrow and perhaps even warmer the following weekend so we'll keep the light on for you.

So you are saying that you paid extra for the saturday delivery...

Righhhhhtttttt. we all know how cheap you are...

You have to come up with a better excuse than that. At least the plumbing excuses were plausible.

Only picture I took last weekend -- tomorrow's weather promises to be better -- hope the turn-out is as good.

ZCarMan 02-11-2011 07:12 PM

Steve, I agree. Warmer days should translate to better attendance.

GM_Traitor3.5 02-11-2011 08:02 PM
