Possibly valvetrain noise (VVEL is noisy by nature). Ester oil may make it quieter.

Since you have the stock oil cooler sandwich you'll have to use a shot oil filter if you arent already. Like Mobil1 1008A. The longer filters can technically fit. Mine did. But I'd have to loosen...

I can tell you from experience that a mechanical gauge can leak ... inside the car ... all over new carpet. An electrical gauge is usually easier to install (don't have to worry about kinked tubing),...
