my $.02 I was in the same boat as you: CPO is basically "no warranty", if you get an E92 which is a hell of a car, you must get a good warranty, whatever goes wrong with the car will not be covered...

I would keep an eye on your cold fluid level after the car cools down but maybe nothing to be concerned about. The smell could be caused by something as simple as the fluid dumping out on the motor...

Lovin' the 7AT. And this is coming from a middle aged man that owned manuals all his life. I must love it so much, it stays in D most times and rarely the minus paddle is used to merely downshift.
