I drive a G37 Sport Sedan (rear wheel drive, 6 speed manual) and have a background in electronics, auto mechanics, vehicle networks (CAN bus), C/C++ programming and micro controllers.

With 5W30, the VQ37 has high oil pressure to begin with. Using 15W40 would result is slightly higher oil pressure. Are you trying to test your galley gaskets? :)

Wouldn't you expect the code definition to be accurate on a shop's print out? Our cars don't have a fuel pump module. As pointed out, this a code that has to do with the bank 1 throttle body....

Sorry to hear about this... It can happen so easily. Since the engine was revved much higher than redline, you might want to do a compression test and check the oil pressure to rule out any...
