There are Min/Max marks on the battery, similar to what you see on the oil dipstick. I had to take the trim piece off the top of the battery compartment and hold a small flashlight behind the battery...

At least based on my UOA's and those of others, I'd say about 4K is the max interval on this motor, even with synthetic. OEM recommendation is 3.7K for "normal" driving, so go figure.

I did it at just 14-15k and it was mud and full of metal deposits (normal from breakin I assume)... most people have the same experience. I plan on changing mine more frequently than they recommend.
