damn man, why's it running so hot? I know the 70's run high temps but mine never goes past 220, that's the hottest mines ever hit

Because of high revs uphill. The load just makes the oil blaze. This pic is on my way home from work, on a warm day 79-80 as I recall. The oil cooler fixes everything. My best mod actually. I had it put on after they replaced the engine under warranty, for oil consumption. The pic is from my first engine.
