Can't really use the Miata as an example. They are totally different. The Miata is a small lightweight sports car that is a big seller and designed individually. The Z is more of a higher performance...

This. It really does feel slow toward the bottom of the rev range because it makes all of its power above 5k. If you want a good dig off the line you need to rev it up a lot and even then the VQ...
