    You should be able to run the wire to the floor while it is still connected to the battery, that way you can keep the hood closed completely while in storage. I do it every year for the winter.

    During the week and hibernation, I just lower the hood and leave it partially open. Yah, pump air 42psi and place on flatstoppers.
