I run 275/40/18.... I do not see any value in running anything wider than 285 on the track. Beyond that you are just adding more un-sprung weight for no value.

You will be fine at the track. If the temps are in the 40s during your first session keep you tire pressure a two or three psi above what you run at the track normally. Just give your tires a chance...

RE71's are not an issue. R888r's are an issue. I am not sure what tires you are looking at but you should be fine. The problem will come if you have snow or freezing rain. No Summer tire is going to...

If you are worried about flat spots, get a floor jack and a set of jack stands. If you are going to park for more than a day or the temp gets too low, jack 'er up and get the wheels off the ground.

You can drive them down in the teens if you want. You just need to wait for them to come up to temperature which takes a while. Some tires do have a minimum temp to be driven on or they will crack...

For that temperature, I think it becomes a concern if the car is stationary for an extended period of time...like storage. For just an overnight, I don't think you'll have any problem, at least...
