Look up 73draggy on YouTube. He built his VR38 engine from a rejected/recalled long block. It's pretty neat with his attention to detail... almost OCD! I'd like to slowly build something like this on the side one day. It won't be anything too crazy - maybe a Stage 1 which can handle 600 whp or so.

The best kit out there IMO is the FI kit. Best kit for the price is the BP kit. Both have great engineering behind them. But the BP kit will save you with total cost including install. Trust me...
