Look up 73draggy on YouTube. He built his VR38 engine from a rejected/recalled long block. It's pretty neat with his attention to detail... almost OCD! I'd like to slowly build something like this on the side one day. It won't be anything too crazy - maybe a Stage 1 which can handle 600 whp or so.

Longevity is where the "variables" come in. Ur installer, ur tuner, ur driving habits. Get a good installer/tuner and you will minimize detonation. 525whp is fine. Now if ur gonna baby ur car...

Just slap some NOS stickers and racing stripes to help with the aero dynamics of the car and call it a day. Or you could research and go from there.

Nice set-up. How much did it run you? My pillar n gauges were pretty cheap and works just as good :) money I saved is going for the built motor!

Reliability will all depend on the tune.. Good luck with whatever kit u choose, just make sure to do lots of research before u pull the trigger. Would hate for u to get the Stillen kit and then be...
