Another theory that ive heard, is that when not using the OEM PCV system, you dont draw a vacuum on the system as well. It might be that the kit needs the vacuum. Why not install the original PCV...

Provided you have the V 2 of the intercooler piping, which is routed on to the front on the driver side...Should work just fine, but will need a 3" to 3" straight coupler, instead of the 4" to 3"...
