There are (2) clips holding each filter tray to each airbox. Just unhook, slide towards the front of the car & pull up. Installation is the reverse. The K&N will be snug but it does fit. You will have to muscle the clips back on. Thats it!

hmmm do you need to oil the K&N filters before install. I've read somewhere that the K&N is a wet/reuseable filter...

Don't oil it. It comes pre-oiled. You have to buy a "recharge kit" to clean and reoil the filters after about 7k miles or whenever you would have replaced the filters. This is where you can have issues with over oiling the filters and damaging the mag sensors. Just follow the instructions for the kit and don't over do it with the oil and you'll be fine. The K&N filters are reusable, but they tend to get worn out just like anything else. On my old car, I replaced them for a new set after 65k miles.
