Where I found her...

| She was sitting alone, quietly, in a lonely showroom that sat still in an inconspicuous corner of West York Toronto. At first glance, one can see she was barely ever driven; not even broken in yet. The moment had a sense of irony, like seeing a cheetah born in a cage, never to been given the chance to run, ever. An unbeknown slave to confinement, not able to conceive the feeling or meaning of freedom. This poor fairlady made a profound impact to my heart, my soul. I HAD to save her, FREE HER from these awful conditions. So I made a satisfactory agreement with her owner, and as soon as provided him with the funds, I took her away immediately, outside of the walls that imprisoned her. She squinted as I took her out into the sun. Her feet slowly and cautiously paced onto the hot pavement, and as if a chronic mist was finally cleared from the fairlady's foggy head, she slowly began to realize that she was really free from the shackles that bounded her for the past year. Her engine breathed the air, and she began to growl excitedly. I encouraged her pedals with my feet, as if to say, "Come on now! Go on, GO!!!" She roared! Fangs fully exposed! And like a catapult, she shot the both of us forward, and we were off, and never again looked back. |
