Legitimate question and not flaming/hating, but what has taken so long? When you first started the widebody back at the beginning of May, it seemed like progress was moving along quite nicely.

Just wondering if the timeline is because of setbacks of the shop or if you did not give them a deadline. I've had my fair share of horror stories with blown deadlines. Either way, I'm excited to see the end results.

he probably dropped it off at GTM.......

If it's like most shops, longer projects tend to be delayed as "small" jobs come in that get turned around for quick payments etc. They end up delaying the long term work significantly. That and the one or two guys that usually are dedicated to your project take holidays, get sick, etc.

I had a 280Z with a full wide bodied IMSA kit..The body shop stated
2 months to complete..it took the body shop 3 x the initial completion
date to finish..

reminds me of what I did to my 350z back in 09'...only thing is your going crazy widebody and I probably would have bought a body kit for the 370z that I loved.

Amazing work! That thing is going to be sick.

In for updates. I can't wait to see it finished. It was horrible having to read through all the hate. Regardless of what you're getting done, you're not taking any shortcuts.

Another WB project that I like. Keep it up OP and looking forward to see the finished project.

I take it the rear bumper is no longer going to be removeable? Looks like you've bonded it to the rear quarter...

I didnt notice that but your right. Lets hope you never have to change a tail light bulb

I'm SO happy to see a full clean fender. The other metal widebody (red that made an appearance at SEMA), I couldn't find it in me to understand or cope w/ the giant gaps or "air catchers" in the rear fenders. Was as if it was for a porsche, yet the engine was in the front of the car, and zero function other then air resistance(something you DON'T want?).

Are you having sides extended as well? excited to see this completed!

You don't remove the rear bumper to remove the taillight. Unless there's lights in the actual bumper cover, there's literally zero need to remove the actual rear bumper.

I can't wait to see this finished. It sux you had to wait so long I'm sure you're having a hell of a time being patient

Zerocool 11-17-2014 09:59 AM

No clue how you can be so patient. Really want to see how it turns out
