sup man, honestly idk baker tuning said they will give me a tracking number i would assume only like 2 weeks maybe? my password jdm covers came in already which was insanely fast....

the good thing is they have it in stock so i dont gotta wait the 4-6 week wait from top secret :D which is gonna happen for the EC..... which is on my to do least...

well i got an update for everyone with the password jdm covers.... first off i would like to thank third gear performance... you guys fackin rock man.... from cali to guam in only 5 days!!! now thats service :tup: not to mention it is still holiday traffic at the post office

now... how can i describe the password jdm covers... hmmmm lets see.... ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE... f*ck the cooling plate it does not fit if my life depended on it... not to mention its rubbing somewhere and i have no idea where the hell its rubbing :shakes head: the carbon fiber quality is so poor... dull as **** in some spots, im definitely gonna have to reclear all the PWJDM covers :( not to mention when i first closed my hood it was uneven, higher on one side so i played with the rubber bumpers and evened out the hood... now it feels like there is so much tension on my hood when i open it.... feels like ill snap the cable when i tug on it to open it.... worst of all i ended up losing my hood struts.... because they were hitting the engine compartments :(

In all honesty i could care less about it being dull and hell in those spots, but thats what clear coat is for BUT at least FIT RIGHT... you know?! i mean this isnt a freaking knock off of another part. It was the real deal, not to mention these covers are pretty damn expensive and the fact the cooling plate dont fit right just pisses me off :shakes head:

Does anyone know how to fix the fitment issue with the cooling plate?

Sorry to hear all that bro. The cooling plate im not sure of I do know it has to be perfect or it is a PITA to line up and put the clips back in. The top two covers were tested with kellyfields hood damper kit and even though they hit a little the hood closed fine with no buldging. What kit do you have?

Jon you need write password jdm and tell them. If the quality they need to know about it and they need to fix it.

its not perfect but i got it pretty damn close... took me about 3 hours wrestling with it :shakes head: and filing some of the holes bigger.... :(

hey man yah the cooling plate is a PITA to align... the dampers were ok... my only problem since they did make contact i didnt want anything scratching the covers after i clear them... :( plus on top of that if my battery died its a pain in the *** to remove the PWJDM...

i dont even wanna deal with doing that... the box that it came in is f*ckin huge bro i would estimate to ship it back would cost easily more than 150 cuz of the size... plus i know PWJDM knows there cooling plate is not perfect.... if this is the fitment of the V2 cooling plate i could only imagine the horror of the original ones...

I understand bro, you should at least let them know how it is so they can fix it for other people. That's ridiculous especially on how much they cost. I ordered mine already I am calling today to cancel it cause I don't want to lose my hood struts I hate that hood stick it ruins the engine look I think.

on a brighter side.... im negotiating the TOP SECRET Engine Cover with my friend in japan DAYTONA RACING.... I also asked him to look if he could get me a ARC reservior tank/oil catch can :tup: ive decided to get real serious with going JDM... im tired of buying parts twice because im not truly happy with them you know?

Jon, for the arc can u should go to rhdjapan cause shipping here to Guam is straight from Japan and it takes a week and is only like 23.00 I think check it out bro.

Thanks bro, if my car ever gets done lol. I hope to have the parts back on Guam this week. Bro, these cars are a money pit never satisfied with anything done to the car always wanting more. We will have to have a meet when everyone's car is ready to go.

i always told my self i would never exceed or come close to 20k in mods.... when i passed that marker... i stopped counting because it hurt my feelings already lol..... :( these cars are money pits indeed....not to mention shipping is a mofo too :( and i know what you mean when you are always wanting more...

So ive figured out wtf is wrong with my damn PWJDM covers... the stupid people that made it.... made it so damn thick where the two bolts area (center portion) :shakes head: it was about 1/4 thick or it had a big air bubble on both sides... this was the reason why it was not sitting properly.... i almost cracked the cover because i was slamming the hood to close it :( luckily i noticed the stress cracks forming...

Now here is the shitty part, saturday when i installed it, i made the slots even longer so that the holes would line up that was a big no no.... since the holes are bigger the cover moves around now. I needa re fiberglass the holes and then drill the holes once more... If i dont do this the cover will hit my hood sometimes, if i get lucky it doesnt hit. I opened and closed my hood about 20 times after i address the center portion and it hits about 50% of the time... I dont want that especially after i have it recleared... ive already dropped off the battery compartment covers to get cleared :D

a lil update.... i fixed the cooling plate... thank god... i filled it with fiberglass and got the holes exactly :tup: so all the pieces are at the body shop right now and getting clear coated....

so ive decided to add another piece to my ongoing engine bay.... i will most likely get the Top secret oil catch cans instead of the arc and the Top secret strut bar that way everything is Top secret.... after all is said and done... i believe my car deserves this...

i wanna do the stripes on the hood and roof.... :D what do you guys think...? in matte black with a silver 1/8 pinstripe OR no pin stripe.... input is greatly appreciated

i visited my body shop friend... PWJDM needs to be cleared again... so much damn pin holes from the cf.... at least once my friend clears it... itll be good to go :tup:
